Hey there and welcome aboard! I'm glad to hear your love of the sims has brought you here. To get started, have a looksee at our tutorial masterlist HERE and go through some of them so you can get a hang of S4S and blender. If you get stuck, head over to the creator help forums HERE and see if your problem has already been asked and solved. If not, start a new thread explaining your problem. Hey everyone, I'm pleco! I'm a 22 year-old woman from the West Coast. Blue is my favourite colour, tea is my favourite beverage, and the little things get to me. I used to play sims 1 as a kid and finally came back to sims 4 a couple years ago. I've only just started doing stuff with mods, but I'm a quick learner . I'm mostly here to learn how to use s4s and get my head on straight in all this modding mess. Talk to me about videogames, I love 'em and WILL have something to say about any of them, promise that's not a threat.

Hi, my name is Frank, I'm 42 and working as a software developer. My wife and my daugther are playing SIMS 4 since the beginning. Well, I don't playing Sims, just using the CAS to create pictures for my pen&paper roleplaying groups. So I'm trying to design the characters of my players and the non-player characters with the Sims editor. And because I don't like postwork I'm creating all the backgrounds you can find on my Creators Studio. As a side note to explain my nickname, "Purzelkater" is a German word, meaning a tumbling cat - and it was the name of my first cat.

It's great to have you here and I'm glad you're interested in modding! Check out some of our tutorials HERE, it's a great way to learn the ropes of s4s. As for fun chats, you can pop in and say hi in this forum HERE! I do need to update that thread with a new question soon...
I hope all goes well in your learning process! Good luck! hi!! im aali, im 15 gonna be 16 on feb 23! i skate(board) and draw, and ive loved sims ever since sims 3 for dsi. it was my first and only sim game until last month when i got ts4. i want to learn how to code and how to play guitar... so far, neither of those are in progress, lol. i'm also hoping to learn how to create maxis match cc!! basically i just want to create mods and custom content c: hopefully you'll see me around!! and vice versa!! Happy early birthday, Aali! I'm going to recommend you to the same link above, our tutorials, HERE. Go through some of the basic tutorials (or the ones closest to the projects you want to pursue) and it'll help you learn how s4s works and how it works with other programs like Blender (if you wanted to make objects or clothes, that is). If you ever need any help, feel free to ask for it HERE, though, make sure to check and see if a problem similar to yours has already been dealt with. Happy simming! I've recently gotten into roleplaying games like DnD and have used the Sims in that way, too! I also just like to make the characters from stories I'm writing and working on as well. Thank you for sharing the origin of your username! It's a wonderful name. Keep on the good work with your cc!

*Waves hello* from Ontario, Canada! :D Somewhere along the line, my Mother told me I was too old to play with dolls anymore, so I started playing with virtual ones (Sims 1). I get bored really easily, so I started creating way back then ... and have for every version of the game.
In RL, I manage a Mechanic Garage, and have a side business doing Stained Glass. When I'm not busy working the day job, or creating glass (teaching too), I code my website, draw patterns for glass ... and do a ton of recolors for the Sims4! I'm horrible at meshing, so reworking the game files keeps me entertained. I'm incredibly grateful to the creators of S4S for the ability to do this. <3

Anyways all jokes aside, welcome to the S4S forums, and i think everyone or at least most of us (i know i did) is horrible at meshing when starting out, but the forums here have a very dedicated group of creators who maybe started out terrible to, but are now basically legends in this community, i am not telling you to start creating meshes BUT, if you do decided to start making your own meshes, this is the best place to be to learn it. (p.s. the reason why my mom told me to stop playing with cars? I drove her nuts (pun intended)). Have a nice day there in Canada

It's snowing here today, I'm off work due to Family Day. I'm lucky, I still get to play with cars everyday at the shop, and we specialize in building/re-building classics. Always good to have a little muscle UNDER your butt! I used to play with meshing, probably more to the tune of re-working original meshes, but I was never really any good at it. I keep trying though, and there are things I would love to have (especially in CAS); however, I would likely cause someone else to go grey if I asked all the questions I needed to do them. I'm tenacious though, so maybe someday.

First of all, it's so cool that you work with stained glass, I've always wanted to learn how to make it. There's actually a local shop that teaches it and your introduction reminded me of it; I'll have to give it a looksee. Anyway, I'm glad you're here and you're continuing to add content to the game since Sims 1. Best of luck in your future projects! I hope they all turn out amazing!

Thank you, deathpoke1qa, greatly appreciated. I am loading up onto my creator page all the things that I have ready now. I do so love to re-invent (the wheel) hehehe. Stained glass isn't for everyone, but it is something that should be done at least once. It's an experience few people get, although it is much easier now with tutorials and things on line. Technology has made it easier to learn, however, it has also made it harder to stay in a brick & mortar business, which leads to a lot of misinformed beginners. On that note, I do have a YouTube channel with several of my video tutorials for tips & tricks. Just search for Kim Banks, and you will find me. I hope you do begin ... you will never end.

Hello everyone! I am not a CC creator or a mod maker. I am master builder and interior designer. I rely heavily on the efforts and inspiration of you creators! Thank you so much for what you all do for the Sims franchise.
