Hello all! I'm Lime! I started off by playing The Sims 2 on my dad's Playstation 2 so I didn't have much experience with mods until I started with The Sims 4! I played The Sims 3 a little bit but didn't actually involve any custom content! :(
Now that I know more about the games I'd like to start making my own custom content! I have very specific ideas in mind and sometimes I can't find anything I need!
I'm 17 and down to make friends and learn things from more experienced creators!

Hello all!
Even though I'm still actively playing Sims 2, over time (and sales) I was seduced by the shiny new-ness of Sims 4. I don't mod but I enjoy looking at others creations. I'm continuously blown away by the depth and creativity of the modding community. I'm mostly here to gawk at the tutorials, request and shower creators with compliments.

I actually started playing on the sims from the console games as well! When I tried looking up more sims games, I found all the PC versions and fell in love. A lot of people don't start creating mods until later in their playing experience, so that's fine! I only started making mods for the Sims 4 as well ever after years and years of playing the other sims games. Feel free to check out the site's list of tutorials HERE and try doing the ones that closely relate to the project you have in mind. You can also always ask for help HERE if you're stuck, there are tons of great experienced modders willing to help! Just be sure to take a look-see at previous posts on that thread because someone may have already been going through the same issue as you and were helped! If you've come to make friends and learn from others, you've picked a great place. Feel free to post pictures or start conversations in the appropriate threads. Hey all! Started playing the original Sims on my old IBM computer (I'm old XD) been playing and love it still! Also the creations and things I've seen in all the sims games always blow me away and I love looking at pictures and taking them in my game!

IBM ... what memories (when I dreamed and asked my mom to buy me the sims TwT) because I sims 1 because I have not played almost anything (traumas that you should read in that thread: sims4studio.com/thread/14095/general-chat(not only sims 1 also sims 2 ..) I also like to make screenshots :D (but I never decide which one to publish since I love all the sims that I do ... ok ok haha) I've seen a capture of yours in the corresponding forum really very pretty |

Hey hey
Been around (In the Sims community) since 2004. I had just discovered CC for Sims1 about 1 month before TS2 was released! I just generally recolour Maxis objects and the odd few CC pieces also mainly nurseries and kids rooms as I found the Maxis stuff a bit...er...blah... I find making new objects daunting so don't know if I would ever attempt it again (Very disastrous toddler outfit in Milkshape back in the day!). Have been stepping in and out of the community over the last 6 yrs as RL gave me a real baby as opposed to a pixel one. She's 5 now and at school so found myself getting more time to start recolouring again, I want all my TS2 "stuff" in TS4 as I'm a wee bit OCD for matching textures. Oh blimey, I haven't half rambled on there. Sorry. Anyway, I've started up a Tumblr page (as that's where everyone seems to have migrated to) and hope to share my new recolours soon.

hehe welcome!((Well I tell you that because maybe you posted on another occasion but I did not find out)
wow that's a long time!:D
the people who make recolors are always great in this community(I always look for recolors because I'm addicted to them I have a problem ... a little serious)
I understand you ... making new items/meshes really is difficult (and you need a lot of time and head xD)
not all are in tumblr (well most if) some blogs open, or are in forums and only share their things there
