Hello! I'm tsukemono, and I've only recently gotten into Sims 4, despite it being out for a long time now. Honestly, the last Sims I've played was TS2, so I'm still discovering all the new features and exploring how to customize my Sims 4 experience. I do quite a bit of both art and programming, so I'm definitely very interested in learning how to create custom content for the game. I hope to learn a lot from the community, and get along with everyone as well. Hi there! Honestly, I think it's better that you waited this long to play the sims (minus the recent re-branding). There have been tons of great updates to the game and it's so much better than it was when it was first released (no colored maps, no toddlers, no pools, no ghosts, no terrain tools, etc). I'm also glad that you're looking into making custom content! If you haven't done so already, check out our list of tutorials HERE. You can try only doing the ones that are similar to any project you have in mind, you can do more. Either way, they're a great way to learn the ropes of the program, as well as other programs like Blender (for making meshes and posing) and Photoshop (not required, you can use other free programs like Pixlr if you want). If you ever have any problem working on your project, check HERE to see if anyone else has encountered the same issue as you before. If not, then ask yourself! The moderators here are super helpful! After all is said and done, consider sharing your work with the community by opening up a Creator Studio HERE. Even if you feel like no one will like your object, I can guarantee that if you saw a void that needed to be filled in your game with your content, there are probably tons of other players who feel the same way! Good luck on all your future projects!

I'm a software quality analysis (QA) engineer and I've rediscovered the Sims after 3 versions :D I'm not yet planning on doing my own CC, but dang if all these files aren't messed up *somehow*. My QA streak will NOT let me leave well enough alone, so here I am.
...I like to break things ^_^

Whether you're on this site to create custom content or to just download other people's work, all are welcome! Even though you don't plan on creating cc, why not try out some of our tutorials HERE to give it a shot? I'm sure your software experience can come in handy for making cc! Regardless, always consider sending your appreciation to your favorite creators on the site; a little love can go a long way! Happy simming!

Heyy! My names Kayti (most ppl spell it Katie, it's such a common name I had to change it) I'm 27 and have been playing ts4 for about 2 months. About 3 weeks ago I discovered cc & how easy it is to put in my game. I have no internet at home, only my cell phone and download all cc on my phone then plug my phone into computer lol it's a pain in the foot but totally worth it. I was looking into downloading s4s to help me organize my cc. I have like 12000 pieces. Do I need internet for me to do that? Or can I download it on my computer and use it offline? I know this isnt the place for help but idk where this particular help question would be put. Thanks for any advice in advance!

Yo! People calls me button. Recently I grew tired of crying for not finding the proper CC to make the Sim(s) I had in mind so I pushed myself to stop being lazy and make it myself... so here I am. It has been long since the last time I did a mesh on Blender, but hopefully I'll be ready to share some CC with this lovely community :P

When I was growing up, I didn't have internet for awhile, too. So, I can totally relate to that struggle. You are correct that this isn't the best place to ask for help. If you're asking help for a project you're working on, go HERE. If you're asking about The Sims game itself or problems with mods in general ans your game, you can go HERE. If you're asking about S4S itself or the website (which you are), then I'd ask HERE! That being said, I'll just answer your question anyway. Yes, the Sims 4 Studio is fully functional even if you aren't online. The only thing to worry about is that the most updated version of S4S is meant to work with the most updated version of the Sims. So, there may be potential problems if your game isn't up to date. But, other than that, you should be fine. I hope that helped! If you have any further questions, please make a post at any of the above places that I mentioned. Happy simming!

Seeing a gap in the cc world and wanting to fill that gap yourself is how must custom content creators start out! I love that you want to take the initiative and create content of your own! You can start by flicking through our tutorials HERE and trying some out so you can get back into the swing of things. If you ever need any help on a project, you can see if anyone else has encountered the same problem as you HERE, if not, ask! And, of course, when all is said and done, you can show off your new creation HERE. I wish you the best of luck in all your future projects!

Hi! I'm lazyredpanda, and I've been a Sims player since the beginning and in every iteration. I've only been playing the Sims 4 actively for about two years, once they added back a bunch of content to the base game. Also, my PC broke, leaving me with a mac that just doesn't want to cooperate with the Sims 3. :( I downloaded the Sims4Studio a while back to help run batch fixes on broken CC, which was the extent of my technical ambitions at that point.
Anyway, I've recently decided to learn to mod and create CC so I can add everything I want to my game. I don't have much programming experience (I taught myself HTML way back in the day and did some work on a website for a previous job), so there's a lot to learn! Luckily, my girlfriend knows Python and she's willing to help me out, so I'm hoping to actually make some progress.

I think you made the right move to wait this long to play the Sims since the basegame is so much better than it was at launch! I'm also kind of envious of your resilience. Speaking of, I think it's that you're eager to starting your cc-creating journey! If you haven't done so already, check out our list of tutorials HERE. It's a great way to learn how S4S works and great practice for modding. If you want, you can also check out the tutorials over on ModtheSims since those are a little more coding oriented. If you ever need help with a project, check to see if anyone else has encountered the same problem as you HERE. If not, ask! The mods here are super helpful. And, finally, when all is said and done, feel free to share your work with the community by opening up a Creator Studio HERE! I wish you the best of luck in your creative journey and I can't wait to see the things you share with us in the future! Happy simming!

I don't recall introducing myself. I think I misinterprested this section as an introduction for creators only. I'm not a creator but appreciate all the wonderful mods available. My screen name is Simme2, some of you may have noticed my name in some of the comments here? I've been playing Sims since the first Sims came out. Each new resurrection of the Sims has had some wonderful changes. Sadly, each new reiteration has left behind some wonderful features too. That's where the modding community has really stepped up. I love mods that brings my old favorites back into this game. Keeping them all organized and updated is a feat in itself! I love this website, you can find any kind of help you need here!

It's never too late to say hello! And, like you said, it's not a requirement to be a creator to enjoy this site. Heck, it's not even a requirement to be a creator to use S4S. It's people like you who support creators and enjoy their content that keeps this community alive. If there were only creators and no one downloading their work, then there would be no community at all. Thank you for all you have done on this site and keep on supporting our creators and leaving nice comments when you can! Happy simming!

Hi, your grandmother is speaking! But you can call me Marabeth.
Played the game since Sims 1, wasn't wild about Sims 3 so dropped out until Sims 4 arrived.
I've used custom content forever and would like to create some of my ideas. This is totally new to me but I'm looking forward to trying. Thanks for providing the equipment to make that possible!
