by the way I totally forgot to introduce myself dang... so a big hello to you all I actually just started to use Sims4Studios a couple of weeks ago so I'm still pretty much of a newbie to all of this also I'm ways too stupid for blender and such so confusing :-[ maybe I will get it some day but probably not (rofl) well what else can I say? I'm a 24 years old male from Germany and love to play the sims of course :D Welcome! It's great to hear that you're enjoying the forums so far. I'm with you when it comes to blender; it has a pretty hard learning curve. However, I recently started getting the hang of it and if I can do, you can to! I recommend looking through some of our blender tutorials HERE because they can really help you to learn the ropes of the program and how it works with S4S. It'll take some tries before you get the hang of it, but I believe in you! Even if you don't end up becoming a master mesh-maker, it's still great to have you in the forums and interacting with the community, even if that just means downloading content from your favorite creators. If you haven't done so already, make sure to leave nice comments on the creations you like; a little love goes a long way! I hope you continue to enjoy the forums! Hi, your grandmother is speaking! But you can call me Marabeth.
Played the game since Sims 1, wasn't wild about Sims 3 so dropped out until Sims 4 arrived.
I've used custom content forever and would like to create some of my ideas. This is totally new to me but I'm looking forward to trying. Thanks for providing the equipment to make that possible! Hi there and welcome to the S4S forums! I think it's absolutely awesome that you want to try your hand at creating custom content. Let me give you some resources to help you out. First and foremost, you should check out our list of tutorials HERE. I'd focus on the section that correlates to the type of content you want to make. Even then, it wouldn't hurt to try a couple out, even if they don't relate to what you plan on making, because they serve as a great way to learn the ropes of the program, as well as other programs you'd be using alongside S4S like Blender and Photoshop (if you don't have photoshop, free photo editting programs like Pixlr Editor can work, too). If you are stuck on your project and need help, you can go HERE and see if anyone else has encountered the same issue as you before (also make sure to check the FAQ there, too). If not, you can ask for help yourself! The mods over there are super helpful! After that, you can create a Creator Studio HERE to share your creations. Though, in order to do that, you need to upload your file onto Google Drive or SimFileShare (access codes HERE) and then paste the download link onto a post in your Creator Studio. If you want to use pictures, you have to upload them to a photo sharing site (like Imgur or Photobucket) and then drop the url in the appropriate place to get images to show up. If you have any more questions about the site or S4S itself, you can ask HERE; but if your questions is more about Sims 4 itself, you can ask HERE. I hope that covers everything! Good luck with all your future projects!

Hello user @yamper , it is good that you join this community but I would ask you not to write in very large letters since I think that is like screaming? Here are the rules: sims4studio.com/thread/253/sims-studio-forums-rules-updatedeye i may be wrong but that's what i feel I hope you have a good time and if you want you can go to these sections: sims4studio.com/board/16/sims-4-pictureswhere there is another kind of creativity that is not creator studio but it can be lookbooks, edits and even funny videos surely some of you find interesting

Hi! I'm Jess. My first Sims game was Sims Castaway on the PS2 and I've been hooked ever since. I'm a software developer & designer by day with some spare time, so I thought I'd finally combine my love of the sims with my childhood dream of doing stuff with 3D and have a go at creating some things. Currently battling NullReferenceException errors whenever I try and follow a tutorial and get directed to a save panel in S4S on my Mac though so uhhh... off to a slightly rocky start hahaha. Guess I'm off to try Windows!Edit: Classic, the moment I talked about the bug it magically fixed itself. It's like I'm at work all over again!

Hi! My Name Is Faith! I'm 17 And I've Been Playing TS4 For About A Year Now! :D Hi there! As much as we do encourage creativity on this site, monas is correct by saying that exaggerated formats aren't appreciated. I went ahead and removed the formatting. That being said, I am genuinely happy that you've joined the site after you've been enjoying TS4 for a year! I hope you continue to enjoy it with the aid of mods and custom content! Happy simming! While it wasn't my very first Sims game, I played a lot of the PS2 Sims games, especially Sims Castaway. You bringing it up has brought back a lot of fond memories and makes me want to try to find the PC version (even though I'm pretty sure it may not be as good as the PS2 version). Anyway, it's great that you have some external experience that could possibly help you in your cc-creating process! I'm also glad that you got your bug fixed. It's weird how things just magically work like that. I hope you continue to work towards following tutorials and eventually sharing your creations with this community! Good luck on all your future projects!

Hello. I just joined and only started making custom content a few days ago, but I actually have been playing The Sims series since 2000, back when I was still 9 or 10. I remember being very excited when I first bought the game and got the House Party and Hot Date expansions first. I always loved the idea of making mods for the game, but could never do it back then since as a kid I never had money for Milkshape (and after trying it as an adult I actually hate using it!). So, it actually has always been a dream for me since then to be able to create custom content. Particularly meshes, which despite that I do 3D modeling a lot, I only finally can do for The Sims 4, in the past few days, thanks to Sims 4 Studio being so much easier to use and learn, and most of all supporting Blender and not requiring the overpriced Maya or 3DSMax or clunky Milkshape (Previous Sim games meshing required those). I really wished I knew about S4S before, I feel like I am so late to the party lol. Aside from The Sims 4, I also created a lot for Second Life (known there as Kouki Elska), so I do have plenty of experience with Blender and texturing, yet I am still learning a ton of new things from using S4S, many things which are not possible in SL or things specific to Sims 4. You can probably tell, if you visit any of my sites, that I specialize in anime-style graphics. I think that is part of why I'm excited for creating things for Sims 4, since things like the Clay hair actually really fit my style of making 3D hairstyles with minimal/no alpha. I already tried remapping one of my old Second Life anime-style hair with Maxis/EA's default hair texture, and it looks so good as is (just gotta fix some in-game issues with it). I do have a blog where I usually post general 3D art related stuff here: audaxinc.netI don't update it very often, though. I also made a Patreon page to post my upcoming Sims 4 CC (free only): www.patreon.com/kohagura

I think it's awesome that you've been using S4S to help bring to life your childhood dream of creating custom content. It sounds like you have a lot of experience under your belt which seems to already be helping your transition into making custom content. I definitely think that having a more anime style will match the maxis match sim style very well. If you're ever having any problem, you can search HERE and see if anyone else has encountered the same problem as you before. If not, don't be afraid to ask, our moderators are super helpful. When you're finished with your creations, consider opening up a Creator Studio HERE and posting it on this site to share your work with the community. Regardless, whenever you can, make sure to let all your favorite creators know how much you like their work; a little love goes a long way! Once again, it's really great to have you here and I'll be sure to keep an eye out for when you start releasing your work! Good luck on all your future projects!

Hi there!!
I joined about 3 years ago actually. The first time I thought I wanted to start making CC. But turns out life gets in the way and I found it really hard to understand what I'm doing. But in high school I actually went to a couple of 3D-meshing classes and managed to do a table and chairs SOOO I mean I kinda knew how to do it once upon a time so I could probably re-learn. I really want to contribute to this years simblreen so I'm looking into what I can manage to learn until then. Photoshop is what I use for my everyday work so that part will be fine. It's just learning the 3D/techy stuff I'm struggeling with.
I've been an avid CC-user since my best friend at the time introduced me to TSR and a whole bunch of malware ad-sites when we were like 11 years old. Running her TS2 with 20GB of bugged CC and having a great time destroying our games and computers lmao. Now I want to get into the fair parts of CC making and using.
Thank you all for the help in advance and for a great program xx

I think it's great that after all this time, you're coming back to making cc; which is especially good since all those things you learned in highschool (and your photoshop skills) will come in handy! If you haven't done so already, please check out our tutorial list HERE to help get you started. If you ever need any help on a project, check to see if anyone else has encountered your problem before HERE; if not, ask! I've been using cc since TS2 as well and I've definitely destroyed a couple of computers with all the malware sites I visited. That being said, if you do end up making cc, I hope you consider posting them on this site through a creator studio, which you can create HERE. I can't wait to see the things you create and I wish you the best of luck on your cc-creating journey! Happy simming!

By the way, do you know if Sims 4 Studio has been translated into French and, if not, if the team would be interested into it?

Hi there! Thanks a lot for your message; now I know where to post my translation offer! By the way, do you know if Sims 4 Studio has been translated into French and, if not, if the team would be interested into it? S4S is already translated in French as far as I'm aware. If you open S4S and look under settings, you can change the language into French. If you notice any translation errors, you can report them HERE.

I love the sims but haven't ever made anything for it. {Im uncreative and art programs tend to frustrate me lol} Welcome! It's great to have you joining our community! It's not at all a requirement to make custom content to be able to enjoy this site (or even the S4S program itself), just make sure to leave a comment and like on your favorite creations every now and again; a little love goes a long way! Still, I'd highly encourage you to test the waters with custom content creation by heading over to our tutorial section HERE. You can try your hand at re-texturing objects, re-tuning in-game items or even creating things from scratch in blender! I'd advise you to try out a bunch of different things to see what feels best for you. Even if you think you're uncreative, you'd be surprised at how many ways creativity can form. If you ever need any help with a project, you can look go HERE and see if anyone else has already encountered the same issue as you before. If not, you can ask yourself! The mods over there are very helpful! When you're finished with a project, consider sharing it by opening up a creator studio HERE! Even if it's not a masterpiece, I'm sure there'll be tons of simmers out there who'd love to have your content in their game! I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to pursue!

Hi, my name is Frey! (just made this account a few minutes ago, cause I forgot the password to my old one)
I am new to making CC and I was hoping somebody could help me. I just made a trait pack but I want to give each trait (there's 12 traits) it's own pose and I tried moving them to the mods sub-folder in my Sims 4 Studio folder(s) and they don't appear with the traits or anywhere except the folder for that matter. Anyhow is there any way to add a pose to a custom trait that any of you know of?
I know there's a way I just don't know it and I've looked all over YouTube and the Sims forums and nobody has ever talked about a way to do it. But I know there's a way because I've downloaded other trait packs before and they came with their own custom poses...
Pictures and videos help if anyone else can show me...
