Hi everyone: my name is Victor and a couple of months ago I got sims 4 unexpectendly as a birthday gift from my son motivating i was too stuck with sims2. For a good reason too cause, I've been creating for sims 2 for years. My other favorite games include GTA SA GTA episods from liberty city,splinter cell,Star craft and all the command & Conquer series. Anyways, Here you can see what I've been doing for past 5 years. BTW, I just got sims4studio and want to thank the creators of this program and admire their work. I wanna first learn how to make a simple recolor and then to more advanced stuff. I've had blender for years but have not used it much. I wanna thank you for making these tutorials

Hi yaohui, it's great to meet you. I love dogs and cats too, and I am lucky to have two dogs living with me. I think Google Translate is essential for all of us trying to communicate across a language barrier, and I use it too. Welcome! Hi telefen, welcome to the forum. It's great to hear that you're interested in making things for Sims 4 . Hi freyssims, if you have questions about a project you would like to make please post them in the Creator Help section. If you have spotted other mods that do what you want your mod to do, it would be helpful to post a link to those in your post.

Hello. Newbie here. I started learning Blender and I came across Sims 4 Studio, however I can't get the mesh to work since I have 2.8 version of the Blender. Do you think Sims 4 Studio will update this to work with version 2.8? Thank you.

Hi, my name is Frey! (just made this account a few minutes ago, cause I forgot the password to my old one) I am new to making CC and I was hoping somebody could help me. I just made a trait pack but I want to give each trait (there's 12 traits) it's own pose and I tried moving them to the mods sub-folder in my Sims 4 Studio folder(s) and they don't appear with the traits or anywhere except the folder for that matter. Anyhow is there any way to add a pose to a custom trait that any of you know of? I know there's a way I just don't know it and I've looked all over YouTube and the Sims forums and nobody has ever talked about a way to do it. But I know there's a way because I've downloaded other trait packs before and they came with their own custom poses... Pictures and videos help if anyone else can show me... Welcome back! I'm sorry that you're having issues with that mod that you are trying to make. You did a good job by doing what orangemittens said by going to the Creator Help section to ask since that is a more appropriate place to post about that than here. I wish you the best of luck in figuring your issue out and I hope that you'll get the help that you're looking for! Happy simming! Hello. Newbie here. Do you think Sims 4 Studio will update this to work with version 2.8? Thank you. Hello! I don't know exactly what it would take to make Sims 4 Studio compatible with the latest versions of Blender, but I would guess that there won't be an update to S4S like that any time soon. That being said, I believe it may be possible to transfer meshes between programs. If you want to try and seek out more information about that, you can check the Creator Help forum HERE or even make a post yourself there. Best of luck!

There's no such thing as too many creators, so adding you into the pile is a welcomed experience. I'm sure your work with previous games will come in handy for creating custom content for the sims 4. I also admire that you've taken the time to look through some of our tutorials because they really will be a great resource for your custom-content-creating journey! If you ever need any help with a mod, you should go HERE and see if anyone has encountered the same issue as you before; if not, don't be afraid to ask. I'm sure there'll be tons of simmers who would love your future content in their games. I can't wait to see the things you make! Hi, My name is Yaohui also Petsimk. I love cats & dogs ,most love dogs . And I am Taiwanese, use google translate often . Welcome! The sims community has no borders and there are plenty of other simmers on this site who do not speak English as a first language or at all. While there may be translation errors every now and again, most members are willing to be patient to understand what exactly you're trying to say. While it's not a requirement to be a creator on this site, consider looking through our tutorials HERE and try them out! If you're here to just download content, that's fine as well because without people downloading content, there would be no community. Just make sure to leave a like and comment every now and again because a little love goes a long way! Hello there everyone! I'm a 40-year old single Mom of a 4-yr old little boy and we have 3 cats. I work for the Gov't doing something that if I tell you I'd have to kill you I'm late to the game of TS4, real life has gotten in the way of it for a long time. I started playing Sims back in 2006-ish up until TS3 a couple of years ago > enter real life stopping the Sims fun. Back now to try out TS4 and hoping to finally figure out object conversion/recolouring and hopefully maybe even creation eventually too. I'm hoping that I'll be able to learn a lot from all of the wonderful people here in this community

Hi, everyone! I am buildersim21. I have been playing since The Sims 2, messed around with simple modding in The Sims 3. Currently, working on making Off The Grid a little nicer for myself with my limited skills. Already have made the tense moodlets minimal, posted at ModTheSims with a "Nearly Gone" Buff mod for OTG.
Just looked at how to get a normal light to act like a candle for OTG. Found out how to add the candle functionality, haven't tested. Just found the lines in the tuning for one of the "candle" lights usable in OTG:
<V n="lighting" t="enabled"> <U n="enabled"> <L n="component_interactions"> <T>120287<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_TurnOn_Candle--></T> <T>120288<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_TurnOff_Candle--></T> <T>13531<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_turn_all_off--></T> <T>13532<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_turn_all_on--></T> <T>13529<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_automate_all--></T> <T>120313<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_AutomateThis_Candle--></T> <T>76677<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: ChangeLightColorIntensity_All--></T> <T>143180<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: changeLightColorIntensity_Room--></T> <T>120317<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: changeLightColorIntensity_ThisCandle--></T> <T>141377<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_TurnOnRoom--></T> <T>141376<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_TurnOffRoom--></T> <T>141375<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_AutomateRoom--></T> <T>120302<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_AutomateAll_Candles--></T> <T>120303<!--SwitchLightImmediateInteraction: lights_TurnOnAll_Candles--></T> </L> <V n="visual_effect" t="enabled"> <U n="enabled"> <T n="effect_name">Obj_lightTableCCandles_01</T>
Figured I would introduce myself and add a little of my OTG that I found so far. I skimmed the Object Tuning Tutorial on the forums on here to get a better look.
Good luck everyone with your projects!

Hi. We are the son and daughter duo of augold's place and goldilockssims. She passed away over a month ago of a massive heart attack. We are hoping to carry on her legacy of conversions as well as making new meshes and building. We are currently working on a very big project: a library. We have made a new double sided bookcase that is curved. We have some ideas for furniture and other bookcases as well.
Hope this project will be completed soon. Hope everyone has a great week.

Hello everyone. My name is Richard, and I recently downloaded Sims4Studio because I am interested in creating a mod that allows Sims to moonlight as bartenders and make tips based on their bartending skill, much like busking. I have no idea what I'm doing, so I've been going through the tutorials and attempting to isolate what properties specifically cause Sims to tip instrument players so I can incorporate that into the bar items. Any feedback or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Greetings to all. Random earth resident, computer geek, and PC gamer here. I loaded Will Wright's Sim City from floppy disk and have played the heck out of TS since it's release. I even got into EA's development test group for TSO, (The Sims Online). It is, by far, my favorite game. HUGE thank you to everyone involved in the S4S effort! Fantastic, incredible, and you let me use it! I will instruct my sims to worship you as their gods. Thanks to MisterS, whever he went, for the post on how to hack up a skirt. On the geek end, my hardware was getting old so I just got this built from scratch and on my desk: AMD Zen2 3700X CPU (7NM). 8 core,16 thread. Asrock 570x board W/PCIe 4. 32GB DDR4 3200 1TB Intel M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB It's insane and I haven't even kicked it from 3.6Ghz to 4.4 yet. And the FUN! I started on the classic little black DressRuchedParty cocktail dress. I hacked miniskirtGlitter and made a matching SwimBikiniHalter. Redesigned the StilettoHighStraps. Made fully fashioned style tightsOpaque. Made the screaming showgirl style SwimStrapless. Hacked tableDiningC1 and C2. Hacked the 1st desk chair. And a bunch more stuff. Electrons could not be arranged in a more lovely manner.

I would first like to say that if you plan on posting long strings of code, please do so under a spoiler. It keeps the forums from clogging up with that much code. That being said, it's great to have you on the forums and working away on your mods! In general, if you ever want any help with a project, you should go HERE! The mods over there are super helpful. I wish you the best of luck in your future projects!
