Greetings to all. Random earth resident, computer geek, and PC gamer here. I loaded Will Wright's Sim City from floppy disk and have played the heck out of TS since it's release. I even got into EA's development test group for TSO, (The Sims Online). It is, by far, my favorite game. HUGE thank you to everyone involved in the S4S effort! Fantastic, incredible, and you let me use it! I will instruct my sims to worship you as their gods. Thanks to MisterS, whever he went, for the post on how to hack up a skirt. On the geek end, my hardware was getting old so I just got this built from scratch and on my desk: AMD Zen2 3700X CPU (7NM). 8 core,16 thread. Asrock 570x board W/PCIe 4. 32GB DDR4 3200 1TB Intel M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB It's insane and I haven't even kicked it from 3.6Ghz to 4.4 yet. And the FUN! I started on the classic little black DressRuchedParty cocktail dress. I hacked miniskirtGlitter and made a matching SwimBikiniHalter. Redesigned the StilettoHighStraps. Made fully fashioned style tightsOpaque. Made the screaming showgirl style SwimStrapless. Hacked tableDiningC1 and C2. Hacked the 1st desk chair. And a bunch more stuff. Electrons could not be arranged in a more lovely manner. Hello there! It's great to have you joining our community and I can't wait to see the things you share with us in the future! Just be sure to leave likes and comments on the creations you download to spread the love; what goes around always comes back around in the end. Good luck with all your future projects! Thank you so much for the warm welcome. This looks like a good community of people really interested in graphics and game mods and it gets down to the technical mechanics of what we're dealing with in TS4. That's an impressive list of tutorials posted! I haven't gone over any of them yet though. I loaded blender and studied that, and also studied the fundamentals of the MS DirectDraw and the DirectDraw Surface graphics scheme as implemented in TS4. My biggest challenge has been dealing with some some serious fundamental flaws in EA's implementation of this technology right from the start. Somebody here has HAD to have noticed it also. I can't change it so I have been doing what I can to still get some nice results anyway. I have a total of 25 packages I have created and running in my game. 7 of them appear in the image I posted. Being a graphics artist AND a tech geek helps me a lot. Understanding the DirectDraw Surface MIP technology and the proper implementation of UV mapping has been critical in getting proper results. Dealing with the serious flaws in the EA default body texture layout and meshes has been a nightmare. In my image, a couple most polished clothing packages so far would be the Stilettos and the bodysuit with the stars. The bodysuit is perfect aside from one small shading flaw where the texture meets on the right side of the sim. The specular overlay I made for it makes it scream nicely. Very flashy. I'm still tweaking the specular overlay on the Stilettos to get the glitter effect I'm looking for. My uses for learning all this go well beyond video games. That would be 3D presentation work, 3D printing of mechanical machine parts and other objects, and designing and mapping custom cutting patterns for 2D flat X-Y cutting tables for steel and other metal plates and sheets. So yeah, after the sparks fly from plasma cutters and MIG welders, I go design sexy stilettos, tights, and bodysuits for my cute little sims. Oh, and my mother was an incredible seamstress and taught me to sew when I was 5. :oD Now if I could only get the little buggers to do my yard work. Is there a package shown in my image that folks would like to see posted first? They all function very well but still need the thumbnails worked out. I still need to work on a butt clipping issue with the cut miniskirtGlitter. Depends on how big the butt is. Running those short skirt hemlines across the major waist pivot area creates issues. I'll type forever. I better stop. :oD Have a great day all!

Hi there! Unfortunately, you are required to have posted at least 50 times before replying to that thread, this is it keep it from filling up with spam. I'm sorry that you're having an issue, though. You can either try to participate in the forums until you reach 50 posts or make a post HERE and see if anyone would be willing to help you. I hope the bug isn't too pervasive and that you're still able to attempt to create custom content. If you have any questions relating specifically to creating content, you can ask for help HERE. Once again, I'm sorry you're experiencing a bug and I hope it gets resolved soon. Happy simming!

Hi chiforlife, as deathpoke1qa said, the bug threads are open to members who have at least 50 posts. Please be sure to check out the general information troubleshooting tips HERE. If that post does not help with the issue, the thread about Apple Blossom in the Creator Help section may be useful.

It's great to have you here and to see how eager you are to creating custom content. I'm assuming you've already began looking through our tutorials, because that's the best way to get the ball rolling with your cc creation. monas already mentioned the Creator Help forum which will be the best place to go to ask for help with any of your creations! I know you're posting on tumblr (which I followed your blog btw), consider also posting on this site, too, by opening up a Creator Studio HERE. Good luck with all your future projects! i did NOT know this was a thing on this website so i'm say this now. i'm a gamer, and i REALLY like sims 4 mods! i watch ALOT of sims 4 videos Hello! It's good that you were finally able to find this forum to introduce yourself. I, too, love the sims and have loved the sims throughout my childhood. There are a lot of sims youtubers I watch and enjoy, though, back in the day, I used to make a lot of Sims 3 Machinimas (though, they're kind of cringy). If you're looking to start creating custom content, you can have a look at our list of tutorials HERE. They're a great place to start and really help you to learn the ropes of the program. If you're having trouble with a project, you can look for help HERE. And, once you've created something you like, consider sharing it with this site by opening up a Creator Studio HERE! Of course, you don't have to be a creator to enjoy this site. If there weren't any people downloading any cc, then there wouldn't be a community in the first place. Just be sure to leave a comment and like on your favorite creations from time to time because your favorite creators will really appreciate it! Happy simming!

If you didn't know already, if you're having trouble with a project, you can look for help HERE. If someone hasn't already encountered the same issue as you, then you should go and ask. My Long Overdue Intro.
Hey I'm Chey (pronounced Shay) I've been an avid simmer since the first game. I'm new to the CC creation world but not the graphic world. I am really into Photoshop and creating things. This site has helped me break into the Custom Content arena and I have been having so much fun learning and creating. I've got to say that I think the Sims Community has some of most talented creators and its so great to see what everyone creates. Nice to meet you all!

Hope to talk soon! Welcome! Before anything, I want to say that we don't recommend people using weird fonts in the forums. While comic sans isn't that bad, not changing the font or font size helps to keep everything uniform and less of an eye-sore. That being said, I'm so glad that you've come to this site! If you haven't done so already, check out this site's list of tutorials HERE. They're super helpful and work as a great jumping off point for any creator just starting out. If you ever need any help on a project, you can look for help HERE. Check to see if anyone has already encountered the same problem as you before, if not, feel free to ask! Once you got a creation you're proud of, consider opening up a creator studio HERE and sharing your creation with the site! I hope you're able to accomplish everything you want as a cc creator and I wish you the best of luck on all your future projects!
