Hello.
Problem solved: I upgraded to Sims4Studio Love and the murals just came easily following the tutorial, with only one variation: I scaled the walls to 256 (not 512) x 512, 512 and 1024 medium, short and tall walls respectively.
Feu! I cannot tell the time I spent trying to get it work!
Anyway, I now witness the same problem that is the game who decides where to place the mural, fact that is a problem when you don't have a lot of wall space. So my funny way to make swatches to place the mural is still useful for this cases.
Thank you, and Sims4Studio for the motivational punch that give me all the time

Hi, I'm new to everything and I just downloaded this because I want to make a wall mural for a specific lot. Oh by the way, this is awesome thanks for the tutorial and everything else. :D I have a question though. I haven't started working on it but am seeing in the comments that the game decides where the mural starts. Is it random or does it start where a wall begins? My problem would be that I have to place it in a specific wall in the room, would I be able to do that? I didn't know I could do a mural and I already built the room. I hope I'm making sense

Yes, you do make sense. No, it's not depending on where a wall starts. I have a video tutorial on placing murals/multiple tile walls, but that won't help you with your problem that you already build the room I think. It's more for better understanding and solving problems: How to place muralsWhat you could do is first placing your mural in your room where it fits and then build the room around it. (If that's still a possibility)

Thanks. I was hoping I didn't have to do that but I guess it's the best way or only way atm. I'll have to make the mural first and then see if I have to rebuild the whole thing.

One more question. Sorry for double posting, I don't know if it's allowed. If I want to make a 10 tile mural, will I have to make the size of my walls 2560 x 768, x 1024 and x 1080? Also, if I knew I wasn't going to use the medium or height walls, could I just change the short one and keep the rest all blue for example? Or do I have to change all of them? Thank you

For a 10-tile mural, you will need the normal wall sizes: 1024 x 768 - short wall 1024 x 1024 - medium wall 1024 x 1280 - tall wall And after you made them, resize them into: 512 x 512 - short wall 512 x 512 - medium wall 1024 x 1024 - tall wall Then when in the warehouse you have to set the value of the DiffuseUVScale: System Single[] line to 0.1 (1 : 10 = 0.1) If you're only going to use the short wall, you can make the others blue if you like. But there has to be a texture of course. But I think your cloned wall is blue then? Ow and because your saying that you want to have 10-tile mural. I think that you have to make your house again around this mural. Or you must be very lucky when placing it.

Thanks Bakie and yes I'm going to start with a blue wall. Oh I know, a 10 tile wall mural that happens to be placed in the wall I want it would be really awesome but I highly doubt it lol
Caverga, I saw your tutorial and I'm very tempted, sadly I'm a little confused since I'm barely learning about sizes. I'll have to try to make the mural I want and then see what I learn from it.

luxconantForget my post I made on the 10th of april! I'm a bit busy at the moment with moving and I told you all wrong! I think I was to tired that day to think clear. I'm sorry. Normally I visite this forum at least one time a day, but now I didn't because of the moving. So I'm sorry if you can't get it right because of my stupid mistake. For a 10-tile wallpaper, you need to make a width of 10 x 256 = 2560px So: 2560 x 768 - short wall 2560 x 1024 - medium wall 2560 x 1280 - tall wall After that resize them. And change the warehouse numbers. Hope you can forgive me

Lol It's okay. I still don't have all the images I need so I haven't started with that part yet. Thank you for clarifying

Hi! Total newbie question: I get to the first Material Definition and I click it, but there's no dropdown for items, only an edit button. I tried different walls but it's the same.

Studio has updated to a little bit more of a polished look and the Edit button has replaced that drop down. If you click the Edit button you will get a pop up box that allows you to make the necessary edits. I need to find some time to update this and a few other tutorials
