Hi all, I am a Mac user. I recolored a brick wall and when I put the new file in the game it was incredibly blurry. I troubleshooted through my editing program and the issue seems to be that the act of exporting and re-importing the images themselves causes the image to blur. I noticed this when I exported and immediately re-imported without making any edits to the diffuse maps--the texture appeared fuzzier on the sample after it had been exported and re-imported. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks Sarah Hi Sarah! I appear to be having this issue as well. I'm Win10, using Photoshop 2020. For my part, the murals keep coming out looking like the following: They are meant to be 10-tile murals, so of course, 2560, with the appropriate resizing for each of the three wall heights. I've been troubleshooting this and I'm at my wit's end, but I have a few more things I'd like to try in PS before I give up entirely.

Hello Everyone I'm new to CC making and having a lot of fun using S4S. I am trying to follow Bakie's tutorial as well as this tutorial that is posted however it doesn't seem to be working. I am using GIMP. I resize the image under image and then canvas size, correct? I try this and then once I try to import it to S4S, if the auto resize is selected it says it's the wrong size and if I unselect it S4S crashes. I have the latest update of S4S and my driver is updated. What am I doing wrong? All of the tutorials are from 2015 and there have been so many updates to both programs used.

Hello everyone, the updated tutorial has been a wonderful contribution tencentsims , although I am having difficulty putting decimals in the diffuseuvscale, it does not let me put 0.05, it automatically sets it to 5, any suggestions?

Hey tencentsims! I just followed your updated tutorial and it worked great. Thank you for putting together an updated version. I was able to skip a step :D In step 3 instead of uploading the "scrunched" ones I uploaded the full images avoiding step 5 altogether and it worked. I recoloured the Pure Expressions wallpaper if it matters.

I *think* I've tried every tutorial posted (Bakkie's video, this OR post, and tencentsims) and I always end up with a much lower res wall texture than when I use the same image for a single wall. For example, I made a mural using a 768 px wide image, and then for contrast, used a 256 px wide part of that same image to make a single width normal wallpaper. The screenshot shows the mural wallpaper on the left and the single wallpaper on the right. Is anyone else still having this problem?

This has been the most updated tut I've found so far, and I been able to figure things out except where it says to upload DST Images and they are decidedly **not** the same as in the tut, instead they are just coming up with the first two heights as 512 and the last as 1024, just like any resized regular wall, even though these are not, as I been following step by step. Waiting to see what this will do in the game, but in studio, I do not get that lovely image in the end, even after trying the walls in the standard order, it's just not intuitive like in the tut. Is there a more up to date tut for 2024? and yes, trying it other ways have always result in blurry images, not sure what to do to fix it
