Hello, please help me~!!
This is exactly what happens when i try to open Sims4Studio ( I'm on Windows 10 btw, all up to date) , I click on the EXE file or the shortcut file i made of S4S, my mouse loads for like 2 seconds and nothing even shows up!, I check the task manager to see if it's running in the background, but its not running at all? I've tried reinstalling it 4 times now and it still does the same thing no matter what I do
~ I've Tried running it as Administrator, it still does the same thing ~ Turned off my Antivirus, Firewall and Windows Protection, and it still doesnt work ~ I even tried repairing my sims 4 game files and it still does the same things
What am i doing wrong here? Is the location of my sims 4 games in the wrong place? Is the location of S4S in the wrong place? Why isn't it even opening??
please help me , I need to get this working ASAP, cant find any other problems similar to mine, at least they get some type of error, but i get nothing

Hi Kiwi , Can you check your Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Logs\ folder to see if there are any error messages? There also may be an error in your Windows Event Log. Can you check the Event Viewer application logs to see if there is an error logged at the last time you tried starting Studio?

Kiwi I'm glad that it is working for you now. monicachurch did you check your Windows Event Log or just the S4S Log? To check the event log, see this post: BenteNds to check the Event Viewer for S4S errors, do this: 1. Click start button 2. Search for Event Viewer 3. Open the Event Viewer from the search 4. Expand "Windows Logs" 5. Click on "Application" 6. Scroll through the logs and look for errors. They often have a "Source" of .NET Runtime or Application Error. If you click on an error and the details below say "Application: S4Studio.exe", then you have found one. You can narrow your search if you know the day and time that it happened.

I'm having the same issue as xpoxi was except restarting my computer hasn't fixed it. Also, I don't think my antivirus is the issue because it's never been before when installing S4S, it's not listed as a blocked program, and I didn't receive any sort of notification that it blocked it from installing/opening. I'm copying the info over from my previous post in the hope that I'll have more luck here:
Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble opening the newest version of Sims 4 Studio (Wishes 3.1.3.9). I updated my Sims 4 game last night, and while it was updating I also installed Sims 4 Studio. It wouldn't open at all, and I realized after that it was because Sims 4 wasn't updated first.
When the game finished updating, I reran the installer - S4S still wouldn't open. Tried again with a fresh download of the installer and then the zip file - still wouldn't open. Reinstalled an old version of S4S I still had the installer for in my downloads (I think version 3.1.3.5) - wouldn't open. Tried to install the newest version again - I think this time I got the issue others are having, where there's a white screen and then it crashes. This seemed promising (since it was opening at least), so I started up Sims 4 to see if opening the game before reinstalling would help, closed the game, reinstalled Sims 4 Studio, and I'm back to where it won't even open.
Also, I did fully uninstall the application between each of these steps. I have attempted to run as administrator as well and that hasn't worked either.
Two errors I'm getting in the event viewer every time I attempt to open S4S:
.NET Runtime error:

I've just downloaded Sims 4 Studio and it won't start up past a white opening screen. I've opened Event Viewer and found errors the same as mgibson's post above this. I'm pleased that I've found that much, but don't know what to do with that knowledge ;D I need help too, please

Bodaccia have you tried running a Windows update or the .NET framework repair tool? The error is about images, but it does not give much in the way of details about why it is failing. mgibson17 and rookwings, that error is from Studio being unable to delete the old log files in your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Logs folder. Can you try deleting them manually before starting Studio?

If your logs folder was empty, your error probably wasn't actually the same as the other person's, since their error specifically mentioned the logs.
(I know those errors are hard to make sense out of, though. Being just a nerd with a 1990s tech support background who enjoys troubleshooting, and not an actual programmer, there are a few I can understand pretty well as is, some I can understand at least partially by reading them carefully and Googling parts of them, and others that I just can't tell what's happening at all. But I see a LOT of replying to other people's S4S error message threads saying "I'm having the same problem!" and then including their error message, and then on looking at the messages, even without understanding either error one, I can tell it's probably not the same problem, because even though the structure of the error messages is the same, the content is quite different. It's kind of like if someone read you two limericks in a language you don't speak and you assumed they were the same limerick -- an easy mistake to make, but if you recorded and compared them carefully you'd be able to tell that they didn't use the same words even if you didn't understand any of the words.)
Google results for exception code 0xc000041d aren't real enlightening to me -- some things possibly worth investigating, but not as the very next step. I suspect Andrew will need more of your error message than what you included. (If you included the whole message, there's likely a longer version of it somewhere, like the ones others have included.)

Thank you Andrew, I thought that folder was empty when I checked it before but there was one file in there. The file is deleted and that .NET Runtime error is gone, however, when I opened S4S after that, I got a white screen and it was stuck not responding and then closed. Wvent Viewer gave me an application error (not sure if I actually need to include this again, but here it is):
Application Error:
- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2020-11-25T18:25:18.770424900Z" /> <EventRecordID>349528</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>MYLAPTOP</Computer> <Security /> </System> - <EventData> <Data>S4Studio.exe</Data> <Data>3.1.3.9</Data> <Data>5faefca5</Data> <Data>KERNELBASE.dll</Data> <Data>10.0.18362.1139</Data> <Data>6a8e6b97</Data> <Data>c000041d</Data> <Data>00114662</Data> <Data>88ec</Data> <Data>01d6c3584415d0ec</Data> <Data>C:\Program Files (x86)\Sims 4 Studio\S4Studio.exe</Data> <Data>C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll</Data> <Data>7af28832-ba6f-47fd-932e-dce3fd1e3c53</Data> <Data /> <Data /> </EventData> </Event>
I uninstalled S4S, also removed the old Sims 4 Studio folder from my documents folder, and reinstalled. This time I got a different .NET Runtime error and the same application error as above.
.NET Runtime error:
- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name=".NET Runtime" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1026</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2020-11-25T18:45:24.113942700Z" /> <EventRecordID>349564</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>MYLAPTOP</Computer> <Security /> </System> - <EventData> <Data>Application: S4Studio.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. I deleted the NEW Sims 4 Studio folder that it had just created in Documents and put back the old one, but I'm still stuck with a not responding white screen and then it crashes. I'm only sometimes getting the .NET Runtime error, whereas I was getting it every single time with the previous one. The only old files that are in that folder now are batch fixes, mods, and a palette. There are also two older sqlite related files (S4Studio_v3.1.sqlite-journal and S4Studio_v3.2.sqlite) that did not appear in the new folder, but deleting just those two files made no difference, I'm getting the same result.
