untraditionalnerdI thought this could also be possible with objects, but that isn't the case right? As they haven't got Geometry files... Or do you have to link to the Model Lods or something? Thanks in advance for answering

I would also like to know how to do this for objects, I'm editing a string of Christmas lights and trying to get them to stay lit up (even if just for appearances sake) at night. Thank you for your time!

linamints, for objects I think the easiest way to achieve an always on state would be to use the Fullbright shader or clone something like the neon palm sign that uses that shader.
bakie, you didn't say what your plan for it was but if you don't need the light to pulsate or blink this would also work for you.

This helped immensely! Thank you! My only question now is, is there a way to get the cloned items to co-exist? The idea to clone the palm sign worked beautifully, but I cannot get other color variations to appear after the first one. What I did/am attempting to do now is change the glow color that comes with the palm sign, one of my Christmas lights have a red glow to go with them, but when I tried to make a separate file for a green or blue glow light they do not show up in build mode, only the red (first file) does.

hejyyyyyyAs far as I know, it can only be done by items that contains meshes, so no I don't think it can be done for eyes unfortunatly.

The only way I could see attempting this would be as a set of accessory contacts that had a mesh that fit over the eyes. It would need to be weighted to the eyes so that it moved with them although weighting them to the head for static eyes might work. I've never made something like this myself or seen anyone else do it so you would definitely be experimenting.

will this work on facial details or makeup by any chance? id like to try and do something like geostigmata. ive been trying to figure it out w/ no luck so i thought maybe i better ask and see if im just possibly missing something. im attempting to do this with these 2 facial details (i got permission): [x] (bottom set) and [x] since i mostly play with alien-y sims, i think they should have glowing features but i just cant seem to get these babies to glow!

No it will only work for items that contain meshes. Here on S4S yggdrasil also uploaded these "glowing" tattoos: Lyrium LinesThat were originally made by Maclimes / MaclimesZero, but he never uploaded them. Anyway, they aren't really glowing like the items with the emission map do. It's just a texture that has a glowing effect. You won't see any difference in darker rooms or at daylight like you will see with these emission map items. Same counts for the ones of geostigmata I think, that's why it's mentioned that you will see it better with Sims with a darker skin then with a lighter skin. So I think if you use photoshop for example the glowing effect is used, to make it look like it's glowing.

untraditionalnerd Hi i have a problem with the manual.
I quote: 3_c Import the Blank Emission Map. ( Even if we have a new file listed we don't really have a file in the package yet. This is the reason why I import the blank file.)
Hm import okay, but where to? RLE 2 Image or CAS?

In steps 1-3 you are creating a new, empty resource in the .package...a DTSImageResource. After completing those steps click on the new resource line that you added and import the blank file into it.
