Hello,
I am currently working on a project where I want to create overrides for the default hair colors. I can do it successfully if I set all of the swatch colors myself, but I was hoping to be able to use the color palettes option since I hoped to recolor a lot of hairs using a new palette. However, the hairs I imported a color pallet onto did not replace the ea colors but just added more swatches of color to the hair. So, at this point I just want to figure out if there is a way to use the color palettes and still be able to use it to replace the ea default hair swatches, or if I will have to manually change the swatch color for each one every time. I don't want to abandon this project so I was hoping maybe someone knew what I'm doing wrong.

Mauvemorn will likely have a better/more in-depth answer for you than anything I can provide (I'm using an older version of Studio and can't find anything related to palettes in it) but generally, when you want to make a default replacement you have to give your item the same instance numbers as the game's numbers. You can find the instance numbers of EA's hair colors in the Warehouse section. Click on an image entry, and on the right side click the data tab. The instance number is there. Edit: the palettes thing is in the tools section, duh. I found this thread that you may have looked at already. Hopefully, it will help you.
