Hi camyers, hopefully, at some point, the Mac version will be updated to allow non-CAS creation. The holdup is the issue some people have that causes the model viewer to not display properly. When that problem is solved, new features can be added

Is there a good beginner tutorial for actually doing the recoloring? I've tried it in the past but it always ends up looking horrible.

Is there a good beginner tutorial for actually doing the recoloring? I've tried it in the past but it always ends up looking horrible. There are many tutorials for beginners at Studio. You can find them organized in the Index HERE. Start with the recolor ones and choose if you want to do an object, building or CAS recolor. If you have any question just ask!

Hi I am having trouble with recoloring an object how do I recolor it in the editor is there one that is best I am so confused can someone help me thanks There are a lot of 2d editors you can use for this purpose. Paint.NET is a good choice since it's free. A lot of tutorials here are written using it as the editor. You can also work with GIMP or Photoshop which are the most common too. What part of the recoloring process are you not understanding? Can you please be more specific so we can help you?

ok. I don't know if this is because i am so tired, but I went over this tutorial. I am wanting to try out re-coloring curtains. Any of EA curtains will do really. But when I put the pattern in...the whole curtain including the rod turned into that pattern. I did not want that. I guess from being a detailed person...i need a detailed tut. Is there anyone out there who has recolored ea curtains willing to give an old timer a hand? I have some amazing patterns and want to try some combinations. If this doesn't work, or no one wants to help, then I will just stick to the walls. But I sstill want to try this out. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

You have to make sure that you are only putting your pattern where the pattern exists on the original image.

Thanks for the great tutorial. This was the first thing I've tried to make and it worked perfectly. I'm looking forward to trying more of your tutorials, your comprehensive step-by-step will hopefully make it easy.

You have to make sure that you are only putting your pattern where the pattern exists on the original image. ugh! Why can't it be as easy as putting a new image into a painting?! ok. that means cutting and pasting... I am assuming for the metal rod to change it to like a different metallic color I'm going to have to find a metal pattern? or try to work with it by doing shading, etc? Who knew curtains would be so difficult? but then again...i bought really long fancy ones and rod got me on the head several times....just like these are doing lol. thank you for the feedback...i will work on it and come back and check the feed and then let you know how it turns out...

If you are having problems with it and would like more people to be able to help, if needed, you can always make a thread in the Creator Help section.

Hiiii,
I know I'm bringing up old problems again but I'm a beginner, beginner and I wanted to do default replacements of the craftable easel paintings, but I'm coming up short as I can't seem to find the default replacements on S4S to replace the images. I clicked everything and checked the debug a million times but I must have missed something which is highly likely.
Thank you so much in advance!!
