Hey I need some help with the studio. I want to recolor something, and I have that box checked, but when I click on the object button, there are no objects there. It's just blank. Do you know what the problem might be?

Hello. I downloaded S4S via the installer for Windows. Im trying to recolor a Maxis item and when I check the recolor dot and hit objects all items load. When I select an item it exports the package to my desktop then I get an error that says "Sims 4 Studio has stopped working". I have made sure the path is correct to my game, I have run as admin, I have tried loading the pkg from my desktop through S4S. My PC is fully updated and framework website says that's good to go. Am I missing something I should have done?

Yes! I would love to know that too. I'm struggling to change the Get Famous "Queen" stuff to gold that suits - Listless Divan, Book Repository, Wardrobes, Guilded Shelf etc but haven't been able to. I don't understand the recolour technique really because it doesn't show how to recolour, just how to replace the image of a painting which isn't recolouring to another colour which has textures etc. One of those couches (listless divan) has the gold I want but the couch has animal print as the main colour. I want the couch, wardrobe, shelf etc to be that dark gold and bit of white as the wood so complete inverted, but can't make it work. I would love to make all the stuff in that dark gold and white but can't switch it or replicate the gold properly and have it the same in all the items. I know how to replace some of the colours and adjust with hue/saturation, adjustment layers etc in Photoshop, but not anything else. I seem to get nowhere trying to change any of the content or custom content the way I would like to - Create my own doon covers etc. I think having the mac is part of the issue because you are limited to what you can do on Sims4 Studio. It's amazing you can create anything and I'm appreciative, just frustrated about finding ways to do anything on the mac when most of the tools are windows based. I keep getting stymied by the weird search parameters so it's very possible I missed it somewhere, but I'm looking for this, too. I just want to match the colors where EA dropped the ball and no amount of searching, either here or on the net, has given me a clue how to do that. I appreciate the painting replacement tutorial, it just seems a bit out of date as far as recoloring help goes. I'm still stuck getting exact matches and just can't seem to find the help. |

Hi - beginner s4s user. I am just trying to recolor the Living Color rug in some test swatches. I have done 10 swatches, but when I check them in game I am getting the rainbow background with question mark on 5/10 of the swatches. They are all identical in size - 1024x1024, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong with half of them to not show up. is it meanwhile possible to just add new colors as swatches to an existing EA object, without creating a new item in the buy catalog?

wendy6292 New swatches without creating a new item can only be done as an Override. If you search the thread Orangemittens explains it in detail as to why we can't like CAS items, I'm just not sure where.

Hey there, I am a beginner using the Mac version. There appears to be no Studio tab. Only the warehouse tab. I'm trying to learn the warehouse section just to do recolors using the tutorials for the warehouse but am worried that I might mess something up with the advanced interface. Should I keep trying with the warehouse or is there some mac download which includes the studio as well?

Has anyone had any luck with recoloring columns? I'm trying to get the Stand Tall column from Seasons to match the Loose Stone foundation from Get Together (since there's not a good loose stone column...). I've checked both Build and Buy sections, and it's not in either. Thanks!

Whenever I saved it, a different thing popped up on my screen, it said warehouse at the top and had a bunch of country flags with the words String Table by it.

Hi there. New to making CC. I adore S4S, and all my CAS recolours have come out beautifully and show up in the game without a hitch. However, everytime I try to recolour an object, it comes out multicoloured with a neon green question mark over it. This is probably just me making a rookie mistake, but if it's an easy mistake to fix, I'd appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks.

4. Click the Next button. A box will pop up that allows you to name and save your new .package. I'm having trouble. I try to save, but I get an error that says "You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission." What do I do? |

Is there a way to add new designs instead of just changing colors? I have some cc cribs that i would like to find a different pattern for online or something so that i could change the pattern but this doesnt show how to do that and i cant find what tutorial i need for that.

You'll need a program like GIMP Adobe, I use Jasc, if your lucky you might be able to pick it up its called Corel now and its very good. You would have to use psp files or png and know something about GIMP or Adbobe or Jasc and layers. Example grab a white square I used the microwave, take it into your paint program using this program you need to image map, put it into your paint program and colour it. Save that and reload it back as a swatch and then just create a package eg microwave.package ect. You'll need to practice how to use the paint program you can teach yourself, its really easy if I can do it you can do it. best wishes.
