I'm having a problem with recoloring items. When I recolor items and use a custom thumbnail, those swatches show up correctly in game. When I recolor items and use swatch colors rather than a thumbnail, those swatches don't show up correctly. They're replaced by some image that looks like... a llama? The actual recolors work when you select the swatch, but I can't see which swatch is which. I'm experiencing this problem in both S4S 2.4.0.5 and 2.4.0.6. I didn't post in the Love beta bug thread because I'm not sure if the program is doing something wrong, or if I am. I have a feeling it's me!

Which version of Studio are you using?

I'm currently using 2.4.0.6.
Edited to add: I just went and downloaded Flora 2.3.0.2 and experienced the same issue. To test, I cloned the same chair and deleted all but five swatches. I altered three of the swatch thumbnails - deleted their custom thumbs and picked a solid color. Two of the swatch thumbs I left alone; one had a custom thumb and one had a solid color. In game, the four solid color thumbnails show incorrectly, but the custom thumbnail shows correctly.
I'm pretty sure I followed the tutorial carefully, but the fact I have the problem with Flora and Love makes me think I might be making a mistake. That, or perhaps a graphic issue with my hardware?

On the warehouse tab select the object catalog resource (on the left) and in the properties pane (on the right) scroll down until you see VariantThumbnailInstance. This field tells the game what to look for. If there is anything other than a bunch of zeroes the game will think that it has a custom thumbnail. So to remove the "llamas" set this field to zeroes.

This field tells the game what to look for. If there is anything other than a bunch of zeroes the game will think that it has a custom thumbnail. So to remove the "llamas" set this field to zeroes. This took care of the problem - putting zeroes in the VariantThumbnailInstance for the recolors that had no custom thumb caused them to correctly show solid colors in the game. Thanks so much for your help!

Hi tedw, thank you for the report on this. The issue is a bug that will be fixed in an upcoming version of Studio so that you won't need a workaround to use something other than a custom swatch for items that have custom swatches to begin with.

Hi tacha75, Studio is having an issue with some items that, like this particular door, have a glass component to them. The team is working on getting an update that addresses the problem. Good day, and an endless word of admiration for the good and inspiring work you are doing. I am working on re-sizing and transforming an EA door, I still need to add the new glass but the re-sizing worked well following the directions given previously in this post, my problem that I want to show you is that the doorway in the wall did not re-size the same way. This would have been unnoticed if the door was opaque, but the transparency of the glass shows the wall unchanged. I was looking at the Slot-Container values and notice that the transform value remains unchanged, but I don't know if this is the way to look for a solution. The color yellowish is from the wall painting behind. The scale I used is 1.05,1.35,1.05

Hi Caverga, Studio is not yet able to work with items like windows and doors that have a wall cut out. The issue is under active investigation.

Is it possible to recolor counters and islands using S4S? because I tried to do a recolor but when I put the .package file in my game it crashes every time I go in the counters section in the buy mode.

It is possible to recolor counters/islands using Studio. If you've got a game-crasher I can take a look if you post it.

Hi dreamtimesims, the counter you're working with isn't an EA counter nor is it a counter that was made using Studio. Studio can recolor EA counters and counters cloned from EA counters using Studio. It isn't able to recolor counters that aren't made to EA standards however and, it appears, this counter isn't up to EA standards. I tried to recolor it and had no more success than you.

That makes sense, but is it possible to clone EA counters using S4S? I thought I wasn't possible yet
