Hi. Did you subdivide the avatar in MD before simulating?

Hi. Did you subdivide the avatar in MD before simulating? Oh, no I didn't. I was watching a tutorial, and she didn't mention doing that. I thought perhaps it was something I did wrong in blender, maybe? Something related to weight transferring? Again, I'm still getting comfortable with terms in Blender.

You havent yet transfer weights and they would not cause this. The garment does not match the body, this can be caused only by two things: you moved the garment or the MD avatar did not match ts4 body When you imported the garment into the scene, was it on the floor? did you rotate it? If yes, go back to MD and export the garment again with these settings

Oh, OK but no, the garment wasn’t on the floor nor did I rotate it. I’ll definitely go back to the drawing board. I just found a better avatar so I’ll try again!

you can make your own like this - clone a lingerie set, export the blend, open it; - expand the rig, make head_2 and feet selectable (cursor icon); - in 3d view select the head, shift-select the lingerie set and the feet; - File - Export - Wavefront (obj); - enable Selection only; - open your scene in MD, RMB-click on the avatar and delete it from the scene; - File - Avatar, choose m, make sure Auto Scale is disabled, remove any 1 from Translation; - select all patterns and quadrangulate them and increase the particle distance.

Quick Update. I was able to fix the tearing issue. But I've ran into another issue as it relates to a dress. I noticed the ankles are missing, once uploaded into Sims4Studio from Blender. I've read through some forums and assume that it might be a mesh group/ cut issue. However, I'm not sure how to separate the dress into different mesh groups. Hope I'm being clear. Can someone clarify, if possible?

Hi. Yes, the original mesh is made of more parts than yours. You can clone a dress made of one meshgroup instead. Or you can split it using this method

Just tried using a dress with one mesh group, and the legs disappeared too. Also experimented with two. Intrigued to know if there's something else, I'm perhaps doing wrong? I added my blend file and a screenshot, for extra support. Thanks for all your help thus far! Blend File

You are making a dress, not a top. It must contain legs and behave like a dress. You need to re-do the adaptation process using a similar dress as a reference.

Think I posted this already, but it wasn't showing correctly in the thread. Hi, I'm back again with yet another question . I recently created a normal map in Photoshop, but after I import it, a part of it is showing up on my Sims skin. I attached an image of two examples below. The first image is faint in the game, and also it doesn't appear in CAS. The second is pretty obvious. Again, any response is appreciated! Image 1Image 2

It is not made correctly. Clone a similar maxis item, export its normal map, open it. It is a square image, not rectangular. It is cropped, not shrunk. And it has transparency, yours most likely lost it because of incorrect saving settings. Here's an example for hair, you just crop out the top part of the image instead of the bottom

Hello, here yet again with another inquiry. I feel like I'm getting there slowly but surely, and as usual appreciate the help! As it relates to the mesh, I'm having an issue when it comes to animations in CAS. I notice the mesh is stretchy when a Sim stands and walks in it (I attached a gif below. Don't mind the texture, I haven't done anything to the mesh as yet. It's straight out of blender). I also noticed that the ankles of the Sim becomes bent as I increase their weight. (I also added an image). If possible, I just want to know the places I went wrong? (I'd appreciate any feedback.) Also, here's the blend file if that helps. GifBlendImage
