Hi. I tried to change energy on toddlers's beds, with the tuto, but that's not worked. I based my work on a bed for children, with energy 4 (a bed from "Kids bedroom"). I copy the tuning and tuningID, and the selling point. Is the problem is with a bed of children on a bed of toddler? Is anybody can do it? Because toddler's beds are 1 energy... thx (I'm Sorry for my english i'm french ^^) This tutorial won't work for toddlers. If you copy the tuning from a child bed it will have its interactions and not the toddler ones.

Thank you Mathcope. So that's impossible to change the energy of the toddlers bed ? Because they're all 1 of energy... It's too bad!

MisterS As I understand it that would change the energy value that shows up in the catalog, but it would be just the text value, not the actual energy value. That is controlled by the tuning as far as I know.

estelledu22 Mathcope Someone asked me about this in the comments section of my studio, so I came here looking for answers. I decided to just fiddle with tuning a little bit to see what would happen and I think I have it working. Others would want to use the basic tuning tutorial here for changing the tuning and only use Mathcope’s explanation on page 3 to change the catalog. Line 406 in the tuning for the toddler bed is <L n="stat_use_multiplier"> with nothing following it. I replaced it with lines 252-260 from the tuning for the Princess Cordelia Bed: <L n="stat_use_multiplier"> <U> <T n="key">16654<!--motive_Energy--></T> <U n="value"> <E n="apply_direction">INCREASE</E> <T n="multiplier">1.74</T> </U> </U> </L> This leads to a message in the object tuning line on the left: “The ‘U’ start tag on line 405 position 6 does not match the end tag of ‘L’. Line 429, position 9.” Deleting the ‘L’ on line 429 removes this message. I put the bed in an empty test game and it places and didn’t break anything. It has all the options and the child could sleep in it. The energy bar had 3 arrows in it while she slept. However, I have not had much of a chance to play toddlers, so I would really appreciate it if someone could test to see if this really cuts down on the sleep time. Also, does it cut down on it too much? I don’t want my tots waking up in the middle of the night any more than they already do.Never mind, I tested it further myself and will have the game toddlers beds with max stats available for download in my studio shortly.

I'm quite stuck on 6) Change the Catalog Entry
6. Click the Object Catalog line for the Princess bed.
7. Scroll down until you see the SellingPoints field. Click the word Collection there. Repeat for the Soothing bed.
I'm using the Wishes version...I can't seem to find the SellingPoints field. I've clicked on all of the Object Catalog lines but there is no SellingPoints field listed. I'm not sure how to proceed...

Hi sharris8, EA gave us the real names for some of those fields in the Object Catalog resource. SellingPoints is now ObjectTooltipTags. I have updated that part of the tutorial now with a new picture and changed the name of that field throughout the tutorial.

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to change the properties (such as comfort) of CC beds I downloaded from other users. I'm new to Sims 4 Studio and don't know how to create recolors or new objects. When I follow the steps and choose the bed I want to modify, CC objects are not showing up there so I don't know what to do. I don't mean to edit someone's work and present it as mine, I just don't understand why someone would create a custom bed that's uncomfortable and now I have no use for the object in my game. If you want to change such things on CC, then you either click the "My Projects" button and then open the package file to change it OR place the CC bed package file in the Mods folder of The Sims 4 Studio. This folder can probably be found right here: C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\ModsThen when opening The Sims 4 Studio, do everything what you would normally do with cloning objects too. So first select standalone, then click on object and then scroll all the way down to find this CC object. The difference between the two is, that when using the last option, you won't override the original CC object, but make a standalone new object. If you have any more questions please ask. Hey Bakie I know this is a suuuuper old post, But I was wondering , If I override the original cc item, will it cause issues? Is that why you suggest the latter option?

Hi crystalsym, It doesn't have to give any issues, but keeping the original as a backup is always a good thing I think. Remember that when you use a piece of CC made by someone else, that you can't share that package with anybody else after you made the change unless the original Creator's TOU (Terms of Use) told you otherwise. For just personal use you can do anything you want with it though.

I will be keeping all my finally enviro scored deco, and comfy beds for my self! *evil laughter* thanks to you, my heavily cluttered rooms will finally be beautifully decorated though, so kudos! on a more serious note, yeah keeping the originals for backup is a great idea so thanks for reminding me that too. Already lost a bed in that fire.

Hi, is this topic still active ? Because I have a quick and silly question: There is any way to tune an object without the object to be flag as cc ? Even if the object is an objects from the game, not already a cc? I Know it sound silly but i hate to have object in my save homes and stuff not showing because I have to select the "include cc" every time ><"

Hi, if anyone ever looks at this thread any more-- would this method work for the new wall mounted showers? Or would pasting the tuning from a high quality cubicle shower make the wall mounted shower act like the cubicle? As in, cubicle showers have to be entered from the side, and that side MUST be clear or sims won't know how to get in. It sucks that they made the new showers with poor, cheap-shower stats. As if college students can spare a whole hour to take their shower.

Hi everyone, I’m not sure if this is supposed to be happening. But when I copy and paste the tuning ID it doesn’t paste the correct number. And I don’t know how to check if the object’s energy and stuff are working. The tooltip tags are correct and working, but the actual thing... anyway. Did anyone have the same “problem”?
By the way, great tutorial! I hope more people find this, because it was really hard for me to find this one.
