For you to be able to clone it you need to place the .package you want to clone under the Mods folder in Documents/Sims4Studio/Mods. The file needs to be in that folder for being able to be cloned, not only in the Electronic Arts/Sims 4/ Mods folder.

Hi idomidokido, welcome to Studio forums. What version of Studio do you have and what version of the game do you have? Is the path to your game files set correctly? Are you able to see objects but not CAS or is it that there are no thumbnail lists forming for you at all?

"Create your recolor image as usual and click the Import button to import it into the .package." I don't know if I missed something, but what do you mean by 'as usual'? And I thought we already put it into the .package?

Hi I have a quick question - just downloaded S4S firstly for the lighting batch fix which worked brilliantly then I thought I would try my hand at adding a couple of colour swatches to some of the cc I had downloaded. As S4S did not add a Mod folder I added one manually and popped my cc into it. Then opening up S4S I clicked on Add CAS part swatch and then clicked on CC only nothing is displayed - could you advise as to what I may be doing wrong? thank you

Hello!
So long story short, I'm trying to recolor a custom content item. However, when I check the "CC Only" option, none of my custom content shows up. Every other item from the base game and expansion packs show up, except for my CC.
Is there something else I need to do, like making the S4S program read/redirect to my Mods folder? If so, how do I go about doing that?
Thanks in advance for any help! :D

Hi drnewell94, welcome to Studio forums. Did you copy the CC .package into your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Mods folder? That is where Studio looks to find any CC you want added to the thumbnail list for cloning.

Just what I was looking for, thank you. 8-)
I have a small question too; Does the mesh needs to be in the exact same folder as the recolor? For example, both in /Mods? Or can I have a subfolder with the creator's name and then another folder with my recolor?

The .packages for the main mesh and the recolor don't need to be in the exact same folder as long as the subfolders they're in are both in the Mods folder.

Thank you, orangemittens. Alas, my CC doesn't show up in my CAS. 8D And it's in the corrects folder, my The Sims 4/Mods.

If you want it to show up in the thumbnail list the .package needs to be in your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Mods folder. It won't show up if you've only placed it in your game Mods folder.
