I've been creating loads of recolors today that work great, and yet one of them glitches in the game. The thumbnail shows up, but when worn my sim turns white. The only thing that doesn't turn white is the recolored item itself. What can I do about this?

You need to be sure the images you imported to replace the diffuse image are on an alpha (invisible background).

Hi !^^ I'm new with s4studio. I have the harmony version. I created some recolors and when I tried to create CAS standalone, none of the custom content showed up. I checked the settings in the menu, my mods file is selected, but nothing. It's starting to make me crazy, because I can't figure it out by my own, and when I try to find a solution on the web, none of those solutions work. Is there anyone with the same issue? Can anyone give me a solution please? It would be very helpful!! THANKS

Hi jimmyflo2594, what do you mean by saying "custom content didn't show up"? Do you mean that it didn't show up in the game or in Studio?

Feyona, the custom content doesn't show up in Studio. I have only access to game content.

jimmyflo2594, You need to move CC that you want to recolor to Sims 4 Studio Mods folder. Please read again parts 1-4 of this tutorial.

I recolored some CC, but I've run into a problem: my recolor looks fine in CAS, but when I enter Live mode it disappears. Does anybody know what the cause could be?

If by disappears you mean that it turns skin colored in the game, you need to be sure you have the generate mipmaps box checked when using .dds. If that isn't the issue, could you post a pic or package?

I've also noticed that a few strands of the hair will appear if I zoom up really, really close to the sim, but that will be the only time I can see the hair at all.

I dont see where you use a 2-D editor in this process...is there a specific program I need? Just trying to get as much info before I venture into creating my first cc. Thanks!

I dont see where you use a 2-D editor in this process...is there a specific program I need? Just trying to get as much info before I venture into creating my first cc. Thanks! To recolor CC (or anything, for that matter), you'll need a program that can open .dds files, like Photoshop or GIMP (both of which have an available .dds plugin). In step 6 of the tutorial, it says "create your recolor image as usual", which is where the program is used. I think there are a few tutorials here on how to recolor using these programs, but if not, here are some on Youtube I found helpful: Plumtorials [Episode 10] Recolor and Create Your Own CC For The Sims 4
How To Recolor Content Using Sims 4 Studio and GIMP
I hope this helps! I'm very new at this myself so I don't know a lot, but hopefully this can get you started.
