Hi xtessaxx, I've looked at the two eye .packages you posted and these were made as standalone recolors. This makes them not show up in the catalog where the EA eyes show up. Since they don't show up on the same catalog entry as the EA eye colors do the only time you can get them on a Sim is by scrolling through one random Sim at a time until you run into a Sim that gets assigned the new eye. That Sim's eye catalog will only show one swatch because it is the only swatch in that catalog entry. What you need to do to have your eye color show up with EA's eye colors is create it as an additional swatch to the EA eye catalog entry. This tutorial here shows how to create a new eye color that will show up with EA's eye colors: www.sims4studio.com/thread/720/make-standalone-eye-recolorIf you run into more questions with it please post again

Hello. I apologize for the dumb question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere, and when I ask others I keep getting directed to this thread.
How can I make a recolor (of a hair for example) and NOT include the mesh in my download? Some creator's TOS let us retexture, but ask that we do not give out the mesh and to link back to the original hair. So far when I use the Standalone Recolor option, it includes the mesh?
EDIT: Welp I feel stupid, I guess it didn't copy the mesh. If that is the case, then, how can I include a mesh on retextured hairs (provided the original creator allows it)? Or do I have to direct people to download the mesh every time?

If the creator allows sharing of the mesh and you want to include it in your recolor.package you can choose the create 3D mesh option instead of the standalone recolor option when you clone the item as custom content. This will cause Studio to include the mesh in the .package but you don't need to do anything other than recolor it as usual.
If the creator doesn't allow sharing of the mesh you should choose standalone recolor and then direct your downloaders to the download where you downloaded the item. They will need to have that in their mods folder along with your recolor in order to see your recolor displayed on the mesh. If they don't have it when they try to use your recolor they will see only a bald Sim.

I was trying to recolour one of Primadonna's hairs, but the file wouldn't show up in the Studio. Having tried another creator, it would appear that the problem is with that particular creator. Do you know why this would be? This is the file name Primadonna & Co. - Cool Kitchen Edit.package, which can be downloaded here.

maybe im stupid and just too tired to understand but it says that users with S4S (love) still can't make recolour without the original mesh but there is also a post saying that it is possible with a tutorial but i cant find the tutorial for it!?

Hi liane and itsareannthing, welcome to Studio forums. liane, I am able to open this hair in the current beta and the current community tested version of Studio. What version are you using and what is happening when you try to open it? itsareannthing, the tutorial showing how to do that is here sims4studio.com/thread/1990/selective-object-recolors-require-original. Alternatively, you can download the current beta version of Studio and just click the Standalone Recolor option under the Object button. That version will make a recolor that needs the original mesh without having to follow the tutorial.

I'm using the current community tested version, I did uninstalled and reinstalled in case there was a problem with my installation but it was the same. The hair just doesn't appear in the catalogue, not sure why. Other custom packages I put in there show up, just not that one.
