Hi liane, I didn't realize you were trying to clone it as custom content. Type Luker into the search bar and the hair will show up. Clone that and you will be able to recolor it:

I am completely the newest person to this website, I have no clue on making things, I was hoping I could get a brief overview on how to make a shirt or dress? I have read some of the threads but I can't really understand at all. It'd be great if you could maybe better explain it.. Thankyou

Hi simslover12, welcome to Studio forums. If you're interested in learning how to make things for Sims 4 the best place to start is by learning how to make a recolor. This will allow you to become familiar with Studio and with a 2D editor. There are several good tutorials here showing how to make a recolor. Once you're comfortable with that and you want to try out meshing you're best off starting with an accessory rather than clothes. Clothes for Sims 4 are among the most difficult things to make for this game and accessories are a better place to start if you've never used a 3D editor before. I wrote a start to finish accessory tutorial that can get you started with that.

Hi OM, how are you? Thank you for another great tutorial, this forum along with the S4S tool is so helpful, I couldn't never thank you guys enough. Now to my question, I'm trying to recolor a CC, for personal use only, tho the original creator does allow recolors, and I came across with the following problem: As you can see in the image #1 (the left one) there's a glitch in the shadow bellow the neck, the same doesn't happen with other shirts as you can see on image #2, I noticed however, that the problem is with the mesh itself, the original mesh has the same glitch. So I was wondering if you know what should I do to fix it? I'm sorry if this is not the right place to ask it, but I haven't found a thread for CAS CC help, does such thread exist, if it does where can I find it? Here's the original mesh in case you wanna take a look at it. Thank you in advance

Open the .package in Studio. Click the Ctrl, the Shift, and the c key on your keyboard to bring up the cheat console. Type in fixneckseam. The neck seam will then go away.

For some reason when I try to import my .dds file it says that the image size is too small when it never changed to begin with (I use GIMP to export the .dds files so idk if it's that or Photoshop messing up the image size in particular).

aya2, do you mean it didn't show up on the thumbnail list so that you could clone it? Which version of Studio are you using?
vaporstaticsiims, GIMP does seem to have occasional issues with sizing .dds images. Try exporting the image from Studio as a .png instead. Note that to export as .png you will need Joy...Love did not support .png.

Hi orangemittens, I'm pretty to this all and I was just wondering how do you not include the mesh??? I made a standalone item, but it keeps including the mesh because when I test my recolor ingame, it works fine with or without the mesh, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

If you're working with a CAS item choosing Standalone Recolor under the CAS button should give you an item that requires the original mesh. If you're working with Objects you should use Studio (Joy) 2.5.1.9 and select the recolor choice under the Object button. This will give you a recolor that won't work without the original item you cloned in the game. Older versions of Studio were not able to make an object recolor that required the original so you may need to update your Studio.

Oh okay, thank you so much! This was very helpful. I kept using "My Projects" to finish my creation.

I think I figured out the environment scores... I mean not really figured out, but basically I wanted my painting to have an environment score of 8, so I looked up a painting with an environment of 8 and its Positive Environment Score was 270. I gave my painting the same score. Now, when I place the original in (which had an environment of 2) my sim gets no moodlet from standing near it, but when I place in my painting, they get a Nicely Decorated Moodlet (or whatever one gives +2 happiness). The environment on the object still says 2, but it gives the moodlet as if it were an 8.

If you mean the catalog is still saying the environment score is 2 you can change that also. Andrew's tuning tutorial showing how to change the comfort level on a bed shows how to make changes to the object catalog.
