I don't have the create 3D mesh under CAS. Is that because I'm on a mac or because I'm not doing something right?

I know this is an old guide, but I'm wondering if there's some reason that Sims Studio HAS to use Blender 2.70, I'd love to be able to follow this using newer versions, but the blend files Sims Studio exports are not executable by current versions of Blender. The biggest problem I'm having is that Blender 2.7 uses old video drivers, so everything looks super washed out and weird on my computer.

andrew I am also wondering about the Blender versions that @abecs mentioned. 2.7 is outdated by almost 10 years, and the 3.0 that was just released is almost an entirely new program with some great features. I am wondering if updating the blender version means an entire overhaul in the sims4studio program or if it is more related to the import/export script. Thanks for all your work!

s4s supports 2.7, 2.76-2.79 versions of Blender. You can work in unsupported versions and use a supported one only to assign cuts and type. How to do it and why s4s does not support 2.8+ - the latest is explained here, in answers 4-5
