Hi Hunter Jin, did you rotate the jaw (r key in Blender) or move it (g key in Blender)? If not rotated the jaw may look open in Blender but won't move in game. How many keyframes does your .blend file have? IIRC you can't open the jaw on the first frame (frame 0) but can do it on a subsequent frame. If you want to post your test Blender or package file, we can help you figure out what is keeping the mouth from moving.

Maybe that's what keeping it from opening? I'll get back to you if it doesn't work and for the mean time, thanks for the suggestion!

danz have you created a single pose yet? If Yes then you should understand the basics of making a pose, if No then I wouold advise you try to makea single pose a few times to get the hang of it before you venture off into something a bit more complicated like couple poses. HERE and HERE is where you will find tutorial's on creating a single pose. HERE & HERE & HERE & HERE is where you will find tutorial's on creating a couple pose. Hope this help.

I am quite confused about making Sims pose on objects, like a chair or a bed. I see poses on Tumblr that say something like, just have the sim sit on the chair or have the sim "nap" on the bed. I'm guessing it overrides the napping animation or the sitting animation? How would I make poses like this?
I would assume to select from animations to override to take the sitting ones for chairs, such as
c2o_sofa_nap_loopdoze_seated_x
And when I go to override the animation the model will be in the default pose, similar to when overriding the trait animations. I don't know the height of the sofa I want to use. I'm guessing that I would have to insert the object into blender to make the pose, but I'm not too sure about how to do that and I've looked for tutorials but can't find any. Once I choose the sofa I want to use and put it into blender, will it also appear in the game or will the Sim just do the pose on the given sofa?

Hi hagfisher, in Sims 4 Studio use the override option instead of the pose option, then if you export to a blend file the animation such as the one you mentioned in your post you will see the model in blender in the seated position and you can work on customizing that as you wish. To make use of the resulting custom animation, select override vs the pose pack option in Sims 4 Studio. Then you import your custom blender animation back into the override and save the resulting package. In-game have your Sim perform the action you made the override for. As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, there are plans to make poses work while your Sim is in a seated position. Currently if your Sim is seated you probably noticed the game wont start your pose until you have the Sim stand up again if you use the pose player. Hope this helps

On the version of the studio I have, the animation only has two options: clip pack, override.
On CAS there is Create CAS standalone, 3D mesh, part swatch, override. Which one am I supposed to be using?
Also, where do we save the trait after clicking next, and as what file type?

If you are wanting to override a pose then click the override option, and you can start a new .blend. If you want to do a Clip pack option (having more than 1 pose) then you can go that way and you can choose weather to use an existing pose/animation or start a new one in the clip pack.
You can save your .package file in a folder of your choosing, just make sure you remember where you put it. I would just make up a new one and put it in your documents or wherever you feel comfortable with.
Hope this helped.

I haven't been posting much because I was struck with a lot of sims work especially The Sims 4 - Loave Family Episode No.2. Again, thanks for making Sims4Studio really useful for us. I wish EA or Maxis could make moveobjects cheat work for the sims, you know what I mean?
