Your pose is showing up for me. It looks like somehow you cloned the child hot headed trait and imported a clip that uses the adult rig onto it. If you select a child Sim in CAS and choose the hot headed trait your pose will show up and it's stretching the Sim how child Sims get stretched if you play an adult clip on them. The stretching occurs because adult Sims and child Sims do not share the same rig. If you clone the adult hot headed trait and import your .blend into it that it will play correctly on an adult Sim. The clips that begin with c_ are for kids and the ones that begin with a_ are for adults.

Hey yunanescaSo I would advise you to start off creating a pose and working out any problems you have while doing that. Its a learning game and I am in the process of making a couple pose and I feel pretty confident now from making just 1 person poses a few times. But if your stubborn and determined to go forth with diving head first into a couple pose then these are the tutorials I would recommend. Tutorial 1Tutorial 2Tutorial 3Tutorial 4Good Luck! Can't wait to see the outcome!

Tips for good poses
- Start with an idea for a good pose. Browse the internet to find pictures of people in the position you're interested in duplicating and study those pictures to see exactly how the person's limbs are arranged. - Try striking the pose you want to make yourself. See how your limbs and joints are arranged. - Do not over rotate the joints or rotate them in a direction that is not humanly possible. In future we will have a rig with constraints but right now the joints will move freely. Creators need to be aware that it's up to them to keep joint motions natural and realistic. - Start with joints of the trunk and limbs before moving on to the fine details like hand and finger joints. - Avoid making a pose where you've changed only one or two joints while essentially leaving the model in her bind pose. - Avoid making a pose where one part of the model is clipping another. The model is essentially an "average" Sim. Poses that look perfect in Blender may clip in CAS if the player moves the weight slider up significantly. - Do not move any joint except the b__ROOT_bind joint and certain selected facial joints. The other joints should only be rotated. - The colored lines that lie at the model's feet when you first open your .blend represent the ground. If a part of the model is lying below these lines it will have an odd look especially for poses meant to go into the full game. If no part of the model is touching these lines the pose will cause the Sim to hover above the ground.
This is a tutorial that is meant to go over just the basics. If you have questions that I haven't covered here please post in the thread and I can add any basic information about how to make a pose using Blender.
Hi orangemittens, In this tutorial you mentioned the model is 'essentially an "average" Sim'. orangemittens, andrew, fellow S4S users, Do customized models exist? Is it possible to modify the model (in Blender?) Is it possible to export the parameters of a Sim where sliders have been applied, to make a custom Blender model? Posing (single and multiple) would be so much easier if the model in Blender could be altered to resemble the Sim the animation is intended for. (Thanks brujah for the nostalgic CAS room mod!)

While it is technically possible to recapitulate EA's CAS slider system in Blender this is not a task that is high on the list of priorities for Studio.

Definitely understand that If I am not mistaken, S4S doesn't need to be aware of the Blender model's dimensions, just bone locations and rotations? Is it possible to modify the Blender model manually? Maybe we in the community can come up with a set of models? I'd like to try modifying the model by hand if possible (graphically), but don't know how. Is the Blender model a specific kind of mesh? Sorry if these questions are already answered here somewhere.

So im making a pose pack and my first 3 poses came out good. I made a 4th one and tested it out in the game and i realized i did something wrong. So i went back to blender and fixed it and when i saved it it said 'No new files have been packed' and it wont save! :( I tried opening it in another blender window, Ive tried 'save as' too and even saved it under another name but no matter what i do it wont save the changes i made

fufu508, You are correct that all that Studio needs is the bones and their positions/rotations. The Sim mesh is just there so that creators can see what they are doing while creating a pose. The meshes are un-selectable by default so that you don't accidentally select them while posing the Sim, but you can enable selection and do what you want with them. Just click the + by the rig to expand it and click the cursor icon on each mesh that you want to make selectable and then you can edit them like any other mesh. xx40daysxx, Welcome to the Studio forums I don't think that will stop Blender from saving your blend, it is just letting you know that it didn't add any new files like if you had added a texture to the .blend. You can turn that off by going to File>External Data> and uncheck "Automatically Pack into .blend"

Thanks andrew! That did the trick. I am working on some mesh updates.

You can use This to upload your picture of choice and copy the URL and then when you go to post something there is a little picture above in your font box that looks like a little picture, click it and paste your URL into the right spot and then it doesn't matter what you type in the text spot. Keep practicing, practicing makes perfect! Trying your poses out ingame requires either the a2a or CAS or any other action a sim can do. the a2a poses are for couple poses. With the new Pose Player there is an option to choose the "trait pack" and click the desired trait your pose is on to use in-game instead of in CAS. You should follow the tutorial it is quite simple and easy to follow. If you need help this is the best place to ask. Try doing your pose step by step from the tutorial and the other one available for poses and you should get it in no time, if you need more help then let us know and we can help you through it. How far along are you at making your poses? -SSSims
