I've never actually played previous Sims games but I have watched tonnes of videos on them and to be honest, I think EA got lazy with the programming of Sims 4. It may be because I am learning programming, but I think that it's BS when they say that they could not make toddlers because of the size issues etc. It was really dissapointing when I found out TS4 did not include robbers, firefighters, toddlers, pets, open world, etc.

I have no idea, but I hope it will be a seasonal expansion. Toddlers and spiral staircases aside, seasonal change and weather effects is what I miss most in Sims 4.
Concerning the open world: While I can understand why they restricted it, I would have preferred a partially open world. Meaning, that instead of a completely open world, I would have liked the neighbourhood-areas to be accessible at the same time. Getting a loading screen when visiting your next-door neighbours is a tat annoying.

anska Ikr, especially when you have a laptop that is painstakingly slow- it takes 5 minutes to load every time I want to go somewhere, leading to my Sims pretty much never leaving the house :C

GeometricSims the loading times are actually the one reason why I like the closed-world. In my Sims3 game I had a science center with glass-roofs, a huge botanical garden, a bird room, a fish and jewel collection, several research rooms, a secluded underground area ... in short it grew way out of proportion. In the end this one lot slowed down my whole map so badly that I had to redesign it in order to play without lags or insane loading times. Now in the Sims4 my laboratory lot is still way to fancy, but at least it only slows down the gameplay of one lot, not of the whole game/town. However the closed-world has rather discouraged me from playing large families, which I enjoyed in the Sims 3. In Sims 3 I would send everyone on their way and from time to time see how they were doing and where they wandered off to in the time I didn't observe them. In the Sims 4 the option to randomly observe what my sims are doing is severely restricted, because instead of simply scrolling over the map ... there are loading screens.

anska that is very true- I was thinking about this the other day- I was thinking that open world would result in a lot of scenery lag. I think they should have just done it via the really tiny neighbourhoodos in Sims 4.

I think they should have just done it via the really tiny neighbourhoodos in Sims 4. Open World is the ULTIMATE. Every Time I run GTA-V, Online-or-Off......Killing CHAV's, running them over...Shooting them...Using a Machete'...Various Weapons of Enticement in the Wonderous Open World. Simply' BREATHTAKING! (Ha!) Now, I have an urge to Slaughter...Posh Characters.....hahaha! The Ritual Changes, from Week to Week. °The Next Sims Expansion will be: "CHAV LIFE", just to make GeometricSims go Crazy... The Download Time will be .30 seconds...a few, "Track & Field", Outfits and a Twitchy'Left Eye Update. EDIT: i Looked up that English Slang Word - "CHAV".....Google popped up lot's of Por* sites....amazing...hahaha!
