I've seen some people say they have problems and others say they have none. I can't seem to find a definitive answer (perhaps it's buried deep, deep in a very long thread somewhere), so I thought it was worthy of a new thread.
The problem:
I had a set of default eye replacements and a set of non-default eyes installed at the same time. Both were created by different people, and both were created last year.
It took me too long to realise that only the defaults were ever showing up in the swatches in-game.
I looked to see if the non-default creator had released an update. They had (still last year though), and I installed that instead.
Behaviour changed, and I would randomly get either the defaults or the non-defaults showing up in the swatches, but never both at the same time.
I added 2 other non-default packages by other creators, both created more recently. After that, I would only ever see the non-defaults (even if using the randomise eye dice).
I decided to remake the defaults and one of the non-default packages last night using the most recent S4S. I put them both in my cc folder, removing all other eye cc, and I can only see the defaults (randomise dice doesn't make the non-defaults show).
--
The creator of the defaults has said they are having the same problem when trying to create a non-default version. They can't get it to show up. I'm waiting to hear back from the creator of the non-defaults as to whether they've had any similar problems.
I've seen some people say there are issues with eyes, and others say it was just a patch that broke them last year but that new packages should be fine.
So, is there a definitive answer to all of this? Is there a known problem? Is it impossible to have default replacements and non-defaults in game at the same time? Or is there a way to get them to work?
Any help on this would be very gratefully received!
