moonshiney, it is impossible to have all correct paths and see this. What is your path to the game?

Hi
I have an issue with my recolours not showing up in game.
When I create my recolors I get no error message.
They show up in game but when I place them all I get is a ???? with purple background.
had this issue now for 2 months before then it was all fine.
my game path is as follows:
sims 4 Path C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\
sims 4 documents C:\Users\user\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
I use Paint.Net to create my recolors and sometimes non copy righted images from the internet.

the thumbnail list of items isn't showing up , my sims 4 studio appear white and empty ...no clothes and no objects. I can only see the custom content that i download from internet. It's hard for me to explain the problems because i don't speak english, i try to post some pics : 1) This is what i see when i try to create a CAS standalone ( same thing for the other options ) imgur.com/a/ufV8X2) I can only use this : imgur.com/a/AmpTQ But although I can see my cc , i can't recolor these cc because they will be transparent in game, and my sims will be naked. Thanks for the reply ! I'm having the same problem Is there a solution?

Hey everyone. I had this same issue, and when I tried to check my path, it said that it didn't have permission to change the path. So, what I did was run the program as Administrator and it worked just fine. To set your s4s to always open as Admin, just:
right click the shortcut go to properties click advanced and then check 'run as administrator'
I hope this helps!

So I have a similar problem on mac. I had a problem where it kept telling me it couldn't find my game path even if I configured it countless times, so I deleted my files re-installed it, multiple times.... It was able to find my game after I configured it once but it only shows base game items and doesn't download ANY DLC, and I have a lot of it... I never had this problem before. I tried repairing my game multiple times too and uninstal and re-install sims 4 studio many times and nothing.

Apparently S4S was updated to fix it but apparently it changed the file paths again a couple days ago so you might have to wait for another S4S update. (source)

As far as i can see we have different problems here, firs the program is not finding the game directory folder in mac the same happens in windows this may be because the games are pirate copies in windows, because when you manually direct the application to the directory in mac it works, it doss not work in windows, even if you do the same as in mac its a different problem.

I actually had the issue with nothing showing up, but got no errors at all regarding needing administrator privileges. Enabling TS4Studio to run as admin still fixed it! Thanks so much, I was tearing my hair out over this for a few days now.

I've just solved this on my computer! I am running on a mac. When it asks that it cant find your game path MAKE SURE that it leads to the ACTUAL sims 4 app on your computer... not sims4.app !! When the window opens with all of your paths click the "..." for game path go to your applications and select the sims game logo and then click ok!! Hope I can help, I feel like this is a common issue
