how would I go about adding 2 more cuts? and does this need to be in the same weird places as my ref mesh?

i would suggest you make it in the same weird places. in edit mode, select the part that you want to separate from your mesh and press P on your keyboard and then separate. do this two times for the two cuts and then put the corresponding cut numbers. i think it'd just be easier for you to clone a new package though.

the package you cloned has three cuts and your mesh only has one. you can either fix this by creating an additional two cuts to your blend file or by cloning a new package. you can still use the same reference mesh; just create a new package with something that has one cut. the yfTop_Camisole top is what i usually use when my files have one cut. i also noticed that your shirt's cut number is 0002. if you're going to clone a new package that only has one cut, you need to change this number to 0000. i opened up the camisole file you recommended, and appended my top in, changed the cut number back to 0000 and deleted the camisole. i saved, then tried to import the mesh back into the camisole one. no change again. :( whyyyyy.

when i imported it into the package it imported. you may not see it because you haven't added the diffuse map texture in s4s.

where do i get this? or how? i don.t even know what that is. (rofl) this guide didn't go through that in detail. edit: i imported my bakedtexture.png into the diffuse. again no change apart from this: {picture here:} the model still shows the camisole top.

all steps completed! i followed the tutorial quite closely. literally just the last step (importing back to S4S) causing the real trouble.

so you should have a file saved somewhere of your texture that you baked
