Hi, I am having a problem with step 8. When I selected the parts I want to delete in the UV window, everything in te 3D window is selected. But it isn't in the UV window. But when I select tools and try to delete the selected parts in te uv window, it just deletes the whole mesh, because everything is selected. I tried to deselect everything in the 3D window, but then I don't see anything anymore in the UV window. Selected in 3D window: Deselected in 3D window:

Hi Illicit ,you have to select a box in uv editor panel,to change the selection like in this picture,with these settings if you select some parts in uv editor panel nothing happens in 3d view but here if you click on this button you can select the parts you want in uv editor panel,and in 3d view the parts are also selected as you see here the parts that I've selected in uv editor is also selected in 3d view panel!Just make sure you click that button! this was also my problem but nobody answered here,so I spent like 4 hours to figure it out myself! :D

you're welcome honey! I think you have to drag the uv editor window to the right to expand it,so you can see it,because it's kinda hidden! it's next to the images menu at the bottom of the uv editor windowAnd here's the screencap you sent and I showed it here to understand it better!

I' didn't realize you could use a sims 4 avatar in blender. I'm very new to the program.

Sorry for another question, but when i change from weight paint to vertex paint it does not transfer and my nude top is not green? the weight transfer shows up properly, though. does anyone happen to know what could cause this, because i am truly struggling and cannot find any answers on google :'( :-/

Hi..! Thank you for the tutorial, and I'm doing exactly what you're doing. and nailed it!!!! I was so happy... and then I put my package file for the test. And this is what I've got.... so frustrated.... Is it joint...weight? problem? If someone knows how to fix it, plz help me

Er... Somehow I can't upload the image. It's well known issue, you know the mesh and texture is perfect but the stupid clothes are hanging on the wrist... ToT...

Hi loner ,this issue is because you haven't transferred the weights properly.When you want to transfer weights from your EA mesh,don't forget to switch to blender 2.70 or nothing will work!

Hey,thank you for this great tutorial! I have problems with baking textures.The bake texture is completely black,and I think it shouldn't be like that,I cant give any shadows to it and it looks really bad for the mesh,I mean it doesn't look realistic,is there any fix to it? I've also had this issue before and here's the fix: If you have your uv_1/weight-transfer mesh still in Blender when you bake the texture, even if you click the button so its invisible, it will still bake the texture like that mesh is overtop of it, thus creating weird shadows. so delete your EA uv_1/weight-transfer mesh and then bake the texture
