Sims 4 Studio is not yet able to work with new meshes for counters.

Hi, I'm trying to convert a dinning table but every table I try to clone comes with an extra shadow above the table's foot, and I only want/need the normal shadow, so I was wondering if there's another object I could clone that has just one shadow or how could I delete this shadow without getting this when I try to put the blend back in the S4 Studio: In game: So my question is, is it possible to remove these or would I have to clone another object? If that's so any suggestions on which object to clone in order to convert this table? And please keep in mind that I'm new at Blender and don't know how to move/resize the shadows so an object with a shadow in the wall wouldn't work for me, unless you can point me to a tutorial on how to work with shadows on Blender. Or maybe you could guide on how to make those foot shadows less dark and more "natural" looking? Thank you in advance and I'm sorry if it doesn't make sense, english is not my native language and this is my first conversion attempt.

If the small foot shadows are their own mesh group completely deleting them in Blender deletes the entire mesh group. When you then import this back to the .package Studio looks for something to replace that mesh group with, finds nothing, and leaves the original mesh group intact. If you want to delete a mesh group entirely you need to do that through the Warehouse tab and it needs to be done for each of the LODs. Alternatively you can delete all but one of the little planes, shrink that plane so it's very small, and hide it inside the main mesh somewhere. If you go that route, again, each of the LODs must be changed this way or the little planes will show up as the player zooms away from your item in the game.

Oh I see, thank you. I found a way to resize and move the shadows so I probably won't need to delete anything in the Werehouse

Excellent. Either way will work so it's just a matter of which way you feel is easier for you

Hi, first I would like to say thank you very much for all the amazing tutorials, they're all incredible helpful. I'm trying to convert a Sims 3 item but something is not right, it looks fine in the S4S but in game it's like the texture gets a bit distorted (?) at first I thought it was a texture problem, but it's still happening with a plain color: Any ideas on what could be the problem here? I'm trying to clone the "Wall-Mounted Coat Rack With Shelf" item because the polycount is too high to use a painting. Here's the .package in case anyone wants to take a look at it > chalkboardP.S. I just noticed that apparently the table I posted before on this tread has the same problem in the legs? so I'm definitely doing something wrong :/

Hi dreamteamsims, due to the recent rash of items being converted to Sims 4 from other games without the permission of the original creator I will need the following before I can help with any more conversion items unless you created this item yourself: 1. a link to the original item and 2. a TOU for the original item that allows conversion or explicit permission given to you from the original creator saying you can convert the mesh they made. The Studio project was really designed more for creators and those who would like to learn to create their own items than it was for the ransacking of Sims 2 and Sims 3.

Hi, it's alright, I completely understand, here's the link of the original mesh and here is his authorization: I didn't find any TOU on his blog, but as you can see I did asked him permission a couple of days ago. As for the table above, here's the link of the ts2 orginal mesh and as you can see above in the page she authorizes conversion.

dreamteamsims, I've tried to download the chalkboard but I can't get it. When I try the links aren't for the chalkboard and also the page is popping up weird ads for phishing software or something. Could you move it to a different site where I can get at the download?

That link worked The bump and specular that are in the .package are those of the original EA item you cloned. There is a tutorial here that goes over how to get rid of these entirely if you don't want to make new ones specific to your item. They can be exported and imported from the Warehouse tab. I think fixing those should take care of the issue.

WOOT WOOT Finally figured out how to convert Sims 3 to Sims 4. But I'm getting a slight wired texture shading problem not sure how to fix it or if it can be fixed. Not a huge big deal but might as well make it perfect. Half is slightly darker then the other.
