hello everyone Thanks a lot for this very interesting thread. Since Seasons, there is the same "cube map" problem with some of the floor paints such as grass. Result, in game, grass colors are much more bright and hard colored than the texture used. New territory for me too. If we have to play with the CubeEnvMap values, how to know what value scale to use to get something less flashy ?

Thanks for your answers but I was looking for informations about tuts, website and/or more specific explanations related to metal. inabadromance : I already know about the textures in grey and the alpha, etc ... I'm searching to do it for metal stuff from the ground, not only looking other people files. Thanks anyway @augold45 : I'm going to look more deeply this week for tuts/websites and I come back to you to share what I will find ( if so )

If you want @augold45 , you can use my personal specular. In the zip file you have 8 speculars. - 4x4 - 256x128 - 256x512 - 512x256 - 128x128 - 128x256 - 256x256 - 512x512 Mango, FIRST : thanks a lot for this ! I used for a while your specular file and indeed, they are super clean Never failed with them ... 2) both diffuse and bump are fine to me but I must say specular is not my best part and so, the question is : do you know a website where I could find tutos to learn how to make decent specular for a good render of metallic stuff ? Thanks

Well ... I was SO excited too to play Civ VI but I'm rather disappointed : it is a bit similar to Sims 3 to Sims 4 : suddenly, everything is so flashy in colors and you get some major improvements, but at the end, it is much more boring than the previous game. So, going to leave sometimes Civ 6 and continue to have enormous fun with Civ 5 and Beyond Earth

Unfortunately i don't have any at hand, i ended up deleting the slots to prevent the issue and i don't have any previous versions. But i know BrazenLotus had this issue randomly with her stackable plates. Here's the set. As far as steps go.. i personally follow the tutorial that's in here. I click on slots / root (just to select the box) and "add" a new slot by pressing the add button, changing the name to one of the three names possible and paste the coordinates. All looks well in the preview. And it works in game. I move on with my life, exit and maybe move it around, remove the item that is on the slot.. save.. come back.. and randomly, the issue appears. Just the same here. Tried different options and still got this random issue. I get it too with some other creators books such as Beaufive books. I decided to make my books collection however and add a set of really not stackable books just to be sure and add a warning :/ But this solution is indeed not the best. I'm even not sure to do it since the only way when the "object not found" appears is to rebuild the game Oo ... Gosh, this is so annoyed.

Just here to say a HUGE BRAVO to the Team : the new version of S4S tool ( Harmony ) seems to be even more fantastic than the previous one :P One question however, did I read well ? you added support for Blender 2.78 ??? Really ? Thanks in advance for the answer

Lenovo is one of the worse ... Much better to get a strong Mac with an applecare and install a decent Windows to do whatever you need/want on it. Double fun !

As a recent creator who post his creations on Mod the Sims, I can tell it is quite a good place. The queue problem will be solved after 10 uploads, and then, you won't have to be "approved" anymore. I fully agree and understand people who claim "my creator freedom over all" BUT ... it is not so bad to be "approved" when you begin, because let's face it : many simblers are full of shitty stuff, both in graphics and meshes ... There are the ones who force users to clic on unwanted advertising, the ones who delivers crappy stuff which can twist/crash your game, the ones who cheat with photography effects, the ones who thief some others, the ones who claim a copyright which it not their, and so on ... Where is the freedom for new gamers ? Is freedom the proper word for massive crowdy jungle ? Do not misunderstand me : I have a simbler and my own website and I love them but beeing on a forum such as MTS bring you more : feedbacks on your own work ! and this is good. So, MTS is vigilent and yes, sometimes over vigilent indeed :D Most of creators on MTS are great. And somes ( are we going to talk about the case of plasticbox ? ) are pain in the ass I have fighted alone more than 2 months against, and I won. Then I decided to stop upload walls on MTS because the requirement in pictures gave me more work than the walls themselves. So silly isn't it ? Except walls, I continue to upload my creations on MTS and I'm glad with it. I haven't seen plasticbox for a while so, the proof in itself that MTS is large enough for plasticbox and some other creators :D Anyway, I never considered TSR as an option. Maybe I'll come here one day. But not today. Managing a website, a simbler and MTS is well enough :D
