Hi kxmchiStart by cloning the accessory you want (not a hat) and then go to the warehouse tab. For each CAS Part you will need to change the body type to "hat".

I will just add that you will find a folder named "mods" at the end of the path Aduah has provided. This is the folder where you need to add CC packages in order to be able to clone from them.

Well, This is probably because you joined all the mesh groups into one. I doubt that the original mesh had only one mesh group. Which means that, at the moment, when you import your mesh, you only replace the cut number 0 And the others stay the same. You need to have the same number of mesh groups (identified with cut numbers in the "scene" menu (next to the "world" menu)) when you re-import your mesh as you had on the original mesh you cloned. Those kind of dresses usually have 4. You can find some info on cut numbers here

Hello there, Why don't you ask on the tutorial you followed how to fix this and where do your mistakes lie? That would make more sense than asking us as we can only provide you with classic ways of fixing it. moving vertices, merging, etc.

Hey zozothebritThumbnails in my game are normally lit, yes. One question is: Do you see the thumbnail as bright in game as well or only when you open the package in S4S afterwards? I am wondering if emptying the cache would help in your case or make it worse (as in: all your in game thumbnails would become like this -_-). Maybe removing all your mods and leaving only the new one where you want to generate the thumbnail (having deleted it from the package beforehand via S4S) would bring a different result that would show that one of your mod is guilty. Or maybe reinstalling the game could help. Some stuff to try out.

Hi cocosims4You need to copy the package you want to use as a base in the mod folder from Sims4studio. You can find it in: "my Documents/Sims4studio/mods" Then restart Studio if it was open so that it loads the added package. Create your clone and you can then use the drop down menu: custom content to find the packages you added in this folder.

Hi jokeplease Is your title accurate? Is this what you get when going to standalone recolor and then selecting: Custom content? Because if yes, there is here a difference indeed. Because when you select Custom Content, S4S is reading the packages that you placed in the mod folder of S4SIf any package that you added to that folder didn't have their thumbnail generated by the game before you copied then into S4S' mod folder. Then they will have no thumbnail no. You would need to replace the packages in Studio's mod folder by versions of those which had their thumbnails generated by the game. Which means already having to identify them and sort them to be able to sort them -_- not very efficient. What I would suggest you as you also have the windows version. Would be to copy your Studio's mod folder temporarily in your game's mod folder. Then use the function from the windows version of Studio: "My CC" to check those packages, delete the ones you don't need anymore and once you're done, replace the folder in your Studio's mod folder. Otherwise you could simply open the packages one after the other to get the preview and delete what you don't need. But that's also tedious.

Hi there spacepantherIt is because the composition method is currently set to 3 on your cas part. That makes it blend with skin overlays. You need to set it to 0 as shown is this post

Hi there zozothebritThis catalog thumbnail is automatically generated by your game when it first loads the pieces of CC that don't have one already. This is not something S4S is creating. Not sure why though. Do you happen to use those extra lighting mods or something in your game maybe?
