Sometimes my meshes will look like that in game if I've got extra geometry in my mesh like I accidentally duplicated a plane. Maybe check your mesh in blender closely to see if there's anything extra and delete it.

The issue I had was that the surface needed to be completely flat in order for the cutout to work properly. You're talking about the sink itself, right? Did you clone a sink for your base and have you adjusted the footprint to fit the mesh?

Yess excatly but it is not doing the trick !! Try pressing 'S' to scale, then choose the axis you want to move it on (for x axis press X on your keyboard), and then type -1 on your keyboard and it should flip it. If you do it this way be sure to flip the normals immediately after! I actually prefer this way

Hello Simmerish20!
* Create the first object with the textures you want then put a copy of it in your S4S mods folder. * Close and restart S4S, choose selective clone, then clone the object you just made with the Textures option unchecked. * Be sure to let people who download your other files know that they require the first object you made, and that's it!
If you want to do this with objects that have specific functions, like bars and dining chairs and stuff it gets significantly more time consuming and complicated so I wouldn't recommend that if you're just starting out.
Hope that helps!

I thought that the other mapped parts would still show up properly. I didn't realize that any part outside of the map area messed up the WHOLE UV map! Thank you for taking the time out to help me!!!

This is what mesh_2 looks like in the uv/image editor for me, as far as I can tell there's nothing outside the texture:

I separated this mesh from the 'Foodies Munch and Go' Market Stall. I remapped it Blender and it looked fine, I imported into S4S and it looked fine, but then in game the UV map is distorted. I cloned and tried several objects, but still no change. FILE with mesh

I'm trying to make an override for the bird of paradise flower using the plantain tree mesh but I'm having an issue with discoloration. I know it's from the vertex paint, but I need the vertex paint so the plant mesh moves so I'm not sure how to fix it. I didn't even paint it myself, I simply adjusted the original plantain tree mesh and re-imported it. I've tried setting the vert color to 0 but it doesn't help. Any ideas? I'd love to keep the animations, especially because of seasons and weather now. FILE

I'm trying to separate the ribbon roll from the seasons kids activity table. I wanted to make some recolors, so like I always do, I edited the texture smaller and remapped the mesh to the new texture. Well, when I load it in game it looks nothing like what I have mapped in Blender. I tried unwrapping it completely and mapping it from scratch but that didn't work. I also tried appending the mesh to a completely different clone but that doesn't work either. I'm not sure if the issue is with the mapping or the mesh import itself. If anyone could help it would be appreciated, I've had this issue with a couple of objects so far, I just REALLY want this one to work lol. FILE

I'm having an issue with the Potted Jungle Plants object. It looks like the bump map and the texture map are each being applied over exactly half of the pots. It seems to happen no matter what I do. If I export the original mesh and then re-import it with no changes it still does this.

Yes, I have most of the fixes done. I've been working sporadically on updating old projects and the bookstore set, which is one of them, includes these fixes. There are new/fixed displays now for all the books and some tuning edits to the books themselves to keep the books from still being attached to it's display when sims pick them up. Sorry it's taking so long - it was a much bigger project than I originally anticipated!

The normals look fine. I think it's all plants because this happens when I try to upload a new mesh to a harvestable as well.

Is there a way to fix this the way the leaves show up so dark? I tried removing the vertex paint but then the leaves sway all together and slide off the trunk lol
