Hi there, I'm new to making sims cc I am also somewhat new to using blender I've watched a few tutorials on how to add your own meshes into sims 4 for CAS content. Right now I am trying to make hair with a mesh i've imported. I've gotten it on the model properly and textured on the sims base like a tutorial I was following to told me. However, Now I'm stuck. The tutorial I was following was for clothing and not hair. I'm not sure how to go about weighting/rigging the hair onto the mesh i've exported. Can anyone help me and guide me on where to go from here? thanks!

Assuming you weighted the hair? you just need to put the cut numbers in for each part of hair.

No I didn't weight the hair ;; I'm not sure how. Do you have any examples of how to do it?
the tutorials i've seen weren't helpful at all

I followed the tutorial but when I save the file doesnt open in sims4studio with the mesh :c it only opens with the editing I did to hide the original hair

Have been trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong all night :c When you exported the EA hair, you can see it had s4studio_mesh_1, 2 and 3. This is for the normal mesh, then the two hat chops Basically, these three meshes are all assigned to 'cut numbers'. Yours isn't though. You need to replace s4studio_mesh_1 with your mesh and make sure it has the same cut number. When your mesh doesn't have any cut number, studio just ignore it when you import it. Look at this thread to find out where to change cut numbers and stuff. So what you want to do is find what cut number s4studio_mesh_1 uses, put it in your mesh, then delete the EA mesh. Hopefully that makes sense? If you need more help send the .blend again and I'll explain more how to do it.

Thank you! I feel like I'm getting somewhere. I managed to get the mesh to work. Only issue is the uv mapping does not look the same as it does in blender when I load it into sims 4 studio. I'm sorry if these are silly issues, but I'm trying my hardest to learn how this all works. Any advice on how to fix the broken texture?

Can you share the .blend and .package? I think the UV might be wrong but I don't 100% know for sure (without checking).

sta.sh/01ae9343wasj (sending it through DA stash because its easy on my internet ;; heres the link to the blend file, package and textures I'm using I believe the texture issue is the texture is from another model so it has unnecessary parts and not a transparent background There is another issue though I attempted to load my package into sims 4 to see if the hair at least worked on a sim. It loads in but does not follow the head. If you could look at it and tell me what I'm doing wrong it'd help alot ;o; also if you know a way to get blender to give me the uv mapping for the hair so I can edit a texture with a transparent background that would help alot too ;o;

I sent the wrong blend file so here is the right one to add to the folder I just sent (you'll still need the other link cuz it has the textures) sta.sh/0t81zie231q

I fixed the texture issue I just need to know why the head doesnt follow the body now when the package is loaded in game Nice I took at the .blend and you're missing vertex paint (just get the green colour and do shift+k to fill everything with green) and a uv_1 (tutorial is for clothes but it's the same for hair). If it still doesn't attach to the head properly then the weight paint is wrong.
