Don't blank NM, it will cause this shiny glitch on items with simglass shader. Best way to edit incorrect NM is either to create a custom one for specific .package or import a blank NM liked by sigma1202.

You can keep as many versions of Blender as you want on one computer. Studio is fully compatible with either 2.76 or 2.70. Some people link 2.79, but some people don't. You can work in whatever version of Blender works for you and link another version in Studio settings.

By creating Standalone item you create a standalone recolor that depends on the mesh presence in Mods folder (in case if you create a recolor of custom content), or standalone recolor of base game item when your swatch is shown as a separate file. By creating a mesh you clone the mesh and create a .package that will contain geometry resources and all other resources related to textures.

There can be a copyright issue if you use brand logos (although, I don't know any cases when a brand came after any simmer). USA has next copyright laws regarding fashion clothes: designers can't copyright a design, only pattern if brand logo was used (like in some Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Fendi bags and tracksuits). Basically in USA designers are not protected by copyright laws which lead to a lot of cases when one bran completely copied another brand's design and didn't have any ramifications. I think you can use designer clothes as an inspiration.

It's in World data -> Object managers. Find world file (you know the path), choose a world, scroll down to world date then click object managers. Then you will see a list of Object manager resources. You will need to experiment which one is the one that you are looking for. To edit lot size you need to click on ObjectManagerLotData, this resource shows size of the lot and its coordinates in the world. The biggest size of the lot can be 64x64. BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE EDITING!
Credit goes to lunar-nelfean who shared their tutorial some time ago, but now it's deleted. Please, experiment at your own risk and back up your files.

makesims , you need to use the same Blender that you linked in Studio path. Studio tools will show up only in that version. I have the same issue as aurorwho (I have Blender 2.7 installed per the tutorial). I'm not sure I understand your answer here. What version of Blender do I need? Am I doing something else wrong? Many thanks. Studio works either with 2.76 or with 2.70. If one doesn't work use another one.

Yes, you move texture where you moved uv map. Uv map tells where texture is placed on the map.

Uv_0 is the map of the main texture. This is where you bake/draw or photoskin main texture over.
1. Create a mesh. If it's made from scratch it will be not unwrapped. Unwrap it, blender will create uv map named UVmap, rename it to uv_0. 2. Create uv_1 field. 3. Do data transfer from uv_1 of reference mesh to uv_1 of your custom mesh.

It is how hair is shown on the lowest settings aka laptop mode. There is no workaround, you either need to switch to higher settings or use clay hair.

Move your uv map in any area intended for accessories. You mapped yours over the hair area. See this thread for explanation, use this template as a reference.

Feyona , I believe they mean they are using a bit of both, if I read it right. There is no way to link both versions in studio. If I asked about what version what used I needed to know what version is linked in studio’s settings.

There is no fix for this. And as far as I know it's always been like this (regarding alpha hair and water).
