kartoffels Okay! So I lowered the polygon count of the dress and subidivded the reference weight mesh increasing polycount. I did the weight transfer again and got this: about to go in game and see if it works at all Also I remembered that inabadromance reminded to me delete the extra materials and leave the diffuser, and that was an issue in a previous mesh as well UPDATE 2/24/2017 4:33PM: Mesh still looks exactly the same in game despite the weight transfer and clean change

It's really weird. I'm trying to follow Syld's tutorial, but it doesn't make the weight transfer smoother, I can't seem to follow the tutorial with the cut parts of the dress at the bottom because there's no sim parts attached to it, its just the mesh.

I followed the GEOM tutorial part that Eliavah had in her video (i skipped it for some reason before). The mesh turns out fine for skinny sims but for larger sims it creates this weird stair glitch? I'm pretty sure it has to do with the Vertex or Weight Paint? Here is the download to the .blender file. Download

SrslySims I cloned a bathing suit. But the reference mesh was the long red dress with the little mermaid tail thing at the bottom.

inabadromance Sorry about that! And I am trying to convert a mesh from blender to MD5, as the simulator there can snap the .obj mesh onto the sim (the original .obj mesh doesnt fit around some areas of the sim's body and editing vertices in blender is hard without distorting the shape. The first mesh I did wasn't from MD5 it was frm blender, but I randomly clicked buttons out of frustration and it somehow simulated onto the sim's body. I'm not sure how I did it lol.. But I made a thread on MD5's forum and two people posted on there if it'll help anyone. Note: I have yet to try this method but I will tomorrow and see if it works with the weld option clicked. www.marvelousdesigner.com/community/forum/TheCommons/9820

Hi TS4 Community, so I've been having trouble with my imported .obj that I've edited in Blender and imported in MD5 for simulation. I recently discovered that the mesh has to be welded/combined together in order to simulate but I'm not sure how to do that because the mesh isn't in the editor to combine? If anyone knows any solution please let me know! I've uploaded a help thread on the MD5 Forums for additional help there as well! I appreciate any help
