vamprocillinCan you upload your newest package then? You might have skipped a step or done something wrong when transferring.

ElusiveKatXo you might wanna elaborate on what is the issue that you're having exactly then. Or go ask on the blender forums.

After I've downloaded it, where do I put it? Downloads? The Sims 4? Electronic Arts? Also, how long does the game patch take? Which version did you download? if zip, then unzip and put it where you want. Installer -> well, install it through double click. Game patch time depends on how much GB it has to download. Although don't keep S4S open if you are patching the game or it will try to update the fullbuild till infinity and beyond ! (simply close S4S during game patches and open it afterwards when it's done)

Hi kabiikinsYou can upload a screenshot of the issue using websites like imgur for example and then post the link in a post that will be easier for us to point you in the right direction then. This kind of issue could be linked to texture size, sort layer or composition method. Cannot say much more without a picture (or the package, same story, you can upload it to google drive, or any upload website and provide a link so we can have a look)

Oh boy I am getting rusty. Took me way too long to find this. You shadow is the one at fault here. It is too small. You made it 512/1024 instead of 1024/2048 Simply resize it and you can work on the rest (like, the normal map is not giving satisfying results and the channel you copied on the alpha is not the red one. For more info check this tut. Your specular needs to be reworked, the seams of the texture etc. But that's ok, you will learn plenty in the process :D)

I just checked the head from the reference rig when exporting to blender and it has bones for cheeks, mouth eyes etc. all those.
But if you create a clone from S4S you can just select the head category and you will be able to export a head with all bones etc.

To add to Anna here, I would say that more than the number of cuts it is probably that you mixed the numbers. Usually on a bottom for example you have 3 cuts : 0, 1 and 2 The thing is that the parts numbered 0 and 1 work in coordination with their equivalent from boots as you can see on this picture: That means that when a sim wears boots, the game check if the equivalent cuts exist as well on the bottom part and if yes, it will hide the cuts 0 or 1 or both depending on the boots or bottom so that the bottom fits properly with the boots. (and that you don't see trousers coming out of the boots for example). Of course it is a little bit more complex than that as meshes have often more than 3 groups but the idea behind is the same. the game checks for overlapping geometries and hides some. All that to say that you need to check if you used to correct numbers on the proper parts. Like if you put the cut 1 on your dress and gave the number 2 on the part of the leg instead, then the dress would most likely disappear when wearing boots ^^ Edit : Actually after double checking on trousers they often have 4 cuts. But cuts 0,1 and 2 take the same amount of mesh space as cuts 0 and 1 on my picture. You mainly have an additional mesh part even lower at the very bottom.

Hi there monas, the problem here comes from your Normal map The alpha channel was apparently not saved (as it happens sometimes with photoshop CC, kind of a known bug) and ended up full white. You need to manage to save the alpha channel on your normal map. Or use no normal in between if you wanna test. I believe last time I got the issue, I opened the faulty normal map.dds I created and copied the alpha channel from the original normal map (where it was created) onto the white alpha of the "faulty normal map.dds" to save again in dtx5. This method should work I believe. Just make sure to open your "final" normal map.dds in photoshop before importing to make sur the alpha was saved properly.

Hi vamprocillinThis is indeed a weight issue. Your backpack simply has no weights assigned at all. You can follow this tutorial to transfer weights from a reference mesh

Hi mintymoonsims this happens because you assigned weight from the neck and one clavicle to this mesh. They should only be attached to the head bone I think (b_head). Although you might wanna attach this mesh to more bones such as cheeks etc... in order for them to adequately move when smiling for example. I would simply transfer the bones from a head piece to this mesh. You can check the tutorial here for how to transfer weights.

Well, I first did it with 2.78, but like I played around on your mesh with the sculpting tool first I had to redo it xD And when redoing it I opened 2.70 instead. It doesn't really matter for things like edge splitting.

Hi kawaiilollipopDid you try exporting another type of rig? like child or male or female. Are you trying to export a rig that is not in your game ? (like trying to export the dog rig without having Cats and dogs expansion pack) Which steps do you follow exactly in S4S to create the blend file.

MadeInOzUnfortunately the mac version doesn't have the "my CC" function. Best guess would be to hope for the creator name being written on the thumbnail in the game and see if the name is also on the package to then be able to open it and see what's wrong. The white and red texture thingy is generally due to missing content in the package. (links to original mesh broken and such) Once identified you could try simply checking the creator's webpage and redownload it check the required packages.

Hi ElusiveKatXo You are simply not using the default theme. Go to user preferences then Themes. You probably use the preset Blender 24X instead of the default one. Just click on restore to default theme at the bottom.
