I just wanted to know if anyone would be willing to Collaborate on a project with me as I am looking to create a custom career mod (Makeup Artist). I have everything that I want laid out, I just need help to make it myself or if someone would like to do it that knows how, thats also fine.
If this sounds like something you'd like to help with then let me know!

I am trying to create something that I would technically need more "space" in CAS for in order for it to work with other creators skin details and skins. I was wondering if it is possible to create a new category so for instance how the Tattoo section allows you to place tattoos on the feet, back, arms... what if I want to add a new category? Is this possible and if so, would someone mind explaining how to go about doing it?

So for a while, I've had this issue and I think it's soley for my own CC creations I've made for personal use. The problem I have been experiencing is that with some of my CC, only some swatches will show (lets say for instance a skin overlay - a nose mask for instance). Some of the swatches will display just fine, while others won't show up at all on the sim. All of the swatches however are on the same sort layer. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Thanks in advance!
that looks like a custom cas background so there is still prolly mods in the folder, remove all of it to be sure , i think the more columns for cas mod did something like this.
Hey there! That CAS background was created by me. Yes, there were still mods in the folder at the time of this screenshot because I figured it wasn’t a clothing CC mod that caused this & I knew for certain it wasnt my background since I am the one who created it.
CAS columns I figured would be the issue after I removed every other game altering mod beaides that one. However, when i did remove the column mod, still the game behaved the same way. At that point i repaired the game (which also did not work) and then I felt the need to make this thread.

So after the latest patch (November) my CAS interface looks completely blank. It is missing everything except the buttons in the far top right hand corner of the screen and even still, clicking those buttons does nothing! I have tried to go through my mods folder and remove game mods (thinks like replacement mods etc) but still nothing has fixed this. I have even tried "repairing" the game.
If anyone knows anything about this probelem please let me know!

So I just merged about 8 K files down to about 40 package files and when i went in game it gave a notification that 63 items have been removed.
I noticed that during the merging process S4Studio was not matching the amount of items I had selected to merge:
Lets say I selected 200 files to merge. Once I merged them, S4STUDIO would say "190 files merged!" so it wasn't adding up. It did this basically every time I merged a new amount of packages and I am going to assume that at the end, all the missing files totaled to 63
Is there a way to avoid this? Was it because I merged too many files at once? If so, about how many files should be merged at one time to avoid this? However, I feel as though even when I merged less amounts of package files it still did the same and of course I am not about to sit here and merge 20 CC items at a time out of 8,000! haha.

At first I thought this as well, however, the first two swatches are literally super close in color. But one shows in full luminosity while the other shows as if it is a much darker swatch when it is not. That is when I realized that this is actually an issue somewhere.. I just need to find what it is.

I know that it looks good with lighter skinned sims, but not with darker sims, so I need to find a way to correct that so that it appears the same all across the skintone spectrum. Its great that it works for your sim, but I want it to be fair for anyone to be able to use and I want everyone to get the same quality nomatter what skintone they have.
Yes, this is in the skin details category. But if your advice is that sometimes skin details conflict, I don't see how that necessarily applies in this case because the first swatch works perfectly, while others do not appear the same.

Ive made a foundation located in Skin Details replacing the "Mouth Creases" with a sort layer of 2100 and it doesn't work with blushes, which seem to be covered this foundation. The blushes sort layer is 5600. Both items composition method are 0. Have you any idea what the issue may be that is causing the conflict between them?

Hi! When I make poses in blender and go to try to manipulate which way the eyeball is looking or try to close the lids a bit etc, I am not able to. It will only allow me to move the entire eye socket around in different ways causing a deformed look about the sim, this is definitely not what I am going for. I've watched several tutorials on pose making and they always seem to have no trouble moving the eyeballs and lids around but when I try, thats what it does. Any suggestions or something I may be missing?

There are initially categories like Tops Bottoms etc for clothing and then the ones for the head, but I am wondering if there is a way to create your own one? I know that I now have a new category in my game for Teeth now and am wondering how to create my own !
You can but when you save as .dds you loose some quality, so when you re-open it, edit and save again texture looses some more quality. Depends on texture it can be very visible or not so noticeable. I save as png and rarely use dds due to above mentioned reason.
Okay so wait one sec, you can use png files as texture files!? I know that png is better for quality and I do notice a loss of quality when making certain things like makeup cc specifically. But if this is possible thats so cool. I need to start doing that.
Secondly, did you happen to have any idea what was wrong with the pants in the reference photo I sent? I have fixed the shirt and am currently working on some other recolors I did without saving the mitmaps. But those pants, are they the same issue as well?
