Try using the S4S cheat alphalpha (exactly as written). Open the cheat bar the same way as in game, CTRL+SHIFT+C. Opened the game, types alphalpha in the cheat box, then placed the fireplace and other items but still not showing alpha.. I do not get it anymore. ALl the files work in other peoples game, so there must be something in my game itself that causes is. If its not for the mods that are conflicting or settings, then what is it? Not really wanting to install my game again, but if that would work.. i can try? You think that would matter??

The christmas fireplace works, just as any other EA mesh in my game. CC does not work, unless for plants. I do not understand why. This fireplace always worked fine and suddenly it doesnt anymore. I have the same with a few other alpha meshes that i have not touched. It all happened after the C&D update. I also have the other problem with the light up objects not working as it should. It looks like these 2 things are for some reason the same.. just cant figure out why.
I have created other meshes with alpha, but unless i clone a plant (or cc plant), it wont work...

I made a snowball that has weird cuts through it. I posted it before and someone sent me the solution which worked, but that was for 2 sides of glass and this mesh has just one surface of glass, a glass ball in this case. I cant apply the solution with this mesh and what is the reason of this? I thought maybe i screwed up the DTSimages, cause there are 3 and i have no idea what is what since the mesh is pretty old and i dont remember what i did back then with those images. I have just tested this in my game and it works perfect! 1 slot needed to be done with a calculator :p but it was pretty easy If it is useful to have a tutorial made of this, i can find some time to do it

I now cloned the mesh into the christmas update fireplace and still alpha wont show in my game. But isnt it kind of weird that alpha (original or made) does show on plants? The original items with alpha do also work fine. Also the christmas fireplace works well. SOme CC plants have a bit weird outlining, black usually. I already had my settings high or very high and the box was ticked, so i unticked it. ( i actually already had ticked/unticked it before i realised when i checked the settings). When i started up my game with ultra high setting and the unticked post processing, it was also the same. I have no idea why this happens and its pretty annoying, cause i need to upload files after a week due to an event i organized, so i need to have them working properly in my game. Hope someone can figure this out.. are there maybe other settings thats can cause this? This is what i play with: Also cleaned out my cache files and nothing changed..

What do you mean by "black shadows"? I believe you have your graphic settings in low, with post processing unticked. have you tried enabling that? Maybe they changed something on the settings. This is something i've been thinking about, it might not be related but it's worth the try. I'm looking at the package and i can't really tell what's the problem with it. If you have the christmas update, there's a fireplace that already has alpha in it by default. can you try cloning that and importing all your textures to see if the issue is the alpha part that you're modifying? I will make that file 2morrow to see if the made alpha is really the problem. I was also thinking about my settings and then i set them all on ultra and nothing changed. I will check if that box is unticked or not, cause didnt know about that yet. Gotta do that tomorrow cause i just closed the game

Taking all my mods out did not help :( I have another thread with another problem about the lights not showing up since the update and i reported it also in the thread for that.. seems like a similar issue, since it also does work well in other peoples game. But i need to find the reason for this if its not a C&D related issue.

I wonder if there are more people with the bug where meshes with adjusted alpha in them, show up in the game as non-alpha? CC plants and original meshes with alpha in them work fine, but when i make a mesh and add alpha in them, they show up non-alpha in the game. Here is an example: Normal with alpha show up as non-alpha in the game now It seems this is after the C&D update, but im not certain about it, so i wonder if there are more complaints about this so i can assure that this is caused by the update or not..

Manually.. I guess you just open the package in the new version of s4s studio and then save the file? If im wrong than just create a new mesh, import all the meshes,textures etc. into that new mesh and save the file.

Maybe you can share 1 or two files that do not show up in the game, so that others can see which boxes you are ticking.

I am not sure if this is the problem you have. But for me when i made a bow tie and was pretty sure i ticked the right boxes for masculine and formal, it showed up wrong in the game.
So what i did was, i just closed the game, opened the package file in s4s and then checked the tags again. For some reason they were all wrong and not how i selected them. Maybe i just forgot or used the wrong package.. not entirely sure about that. Then i ticked all the correct boxes again as you desire, placed the new package into the sims4/mods folder and opened the game. The meshes showed up in the right categories.

Sorry for the many posts lately. I am trying to figure out what editing i should make in region map if i want the ears of a cat to show with a 'hat' accessory. All the accessories seem to cut of the cats ears. It is now on 'base'.

I also checked all the fireplaces in my game, the CC ones, the EA ones and it seems that ANY mesh with a lit up DTS image does not show up in my game. Same thing with this xmas tree. The room only lights up, but the texture is NOT on any object. I thought at first this was a bug from the C&D patch, but i am not sure about it. I havent found any other reports about this issue. I took all the mods out of my game and it still occurs. Do not know how to fix this and now i cant test out my meshes that i soon need to upload.. Some examples of how it looks in my game now:
