Hey necrodog I've done some testing of what you suggested and I can't seem to get the object to animate even when using the spooky ASM as a base (and psych mirror for interaction base) but the issue is present even after declaring the name in the explicit namespaces. The object just remains still. For reference, I'm using a chair and animated the transform bone (so I assume it should be able to move). I'm wondering if there's a specific way we have to get the clip file of the object's animation? From what I understand we start a pose pack and import it that way, correct? Also Is there a detailed documentation somewhere about the constraints and what they do? I seem to be having issues making the animation line up with the object.

necrodog I see. I'll try what you suggested above and see if it works. As for what you mentioned in steps 6 and 7 , I'm not exactly sure how to do that? Or how to extract the object animation as a clip itself? I see where you can change the ActorName in the warehouse but i'm not certain about the explicitnamespaces

so I've got this to work with one flaw I cant seam to get my sim to go to the object' the animation starts where ever the sims at. any suggestions. I've posted images and test file hereI know this is old but I also have this problem. necrodog I made the animation in blender at the object's root. So is there a way to make it play where the object's root bind is? Also would it be possible to animate an object using this method and combine it with a sim animation? (and make them play at the same time?) Annd final question, would it be possible to play an animation and then another one after that. For example, a person taking a seat followed by the person sitting idle. And to maybe play an animation when the interaction is cancelled? Thank you for the help!

I wish someone could replace them I need invisible lights for machinima xD on it! i'll start working on invisible lights for machinima of different colors. i cant promise anything, but i'll do my best. if you want plain white, hit ctrl + shft + c and type in bb.showhiddenobjects then go into lighting and scroll to the bottom. the little circle and square lights will not be visible in game, but will produce light. Oh thank you! Don't forget Candle-Light / Lamp type lights...Those are amazing for creating atmospheres XD

What is ammbient occlusion? Ambient occlusion in Sims 4 stimulates some shadows (For example: Where the floor meets the wall, there will be a shadow there, In Sims 4 that is handles with Ambient Occlusion). I recommend you google it since I'm bad at explaining. All I can really say for sure, is that the SSAO (Screen Space Ambient occlusion: basically means simulating ambient occlusion but in real time) Is really subtle in Sims 4 and personally I do not think it is that worth it. Especially if you use the AO on reshade ( A post processing program)

Note that this fix will remove your ambient occlusion completely from your game, but I figured it's easier to do this until someone comes out with a batch fix - or EA fixes it themselves. Step 1Go to your C drive (Or wherever you installed Origin) >> Program Files (For me it is X86) >> Origin Games >> The Sims 4 >> Game >> Bin -Search for graphic rules in your search bar (mainly because I don't know exactly where it is stored) *Open with Notepad (Or a similar software) Step 2 - Find SSAO with Cntrl F (Command F if you're on mac) Step 3Set 'true' to false. You want to do this for the light setting that you use (Medium-Very high). You can see in the above picture, i only ever use very high lighting setting, so i only changed it for that. However, If you frequently use different settings, You probably want to change all of the SSAO to false (Note that it is already set to false for Low setting, That's actually how i found this fix) Want proof it works? No problem. here's pics of a backdrop I made. (Also p.s the pose pack in the pic is mine, found at my tumblr @brokensims-ts4) One on the left is with SSAO enabled. One on the right is without. NOTE: THIS IS A TEMPORARY FIX. IT WILL DISABLE SSAO. (For me it wasn't a big deal disabling this setting because i use reshade. You keep the cool light effects too since you only disable one setting). For now we can only hope that EA will fix this, since it was not an issue before the patch.

hello guys! after the latest update, lot of ppl are experiencing problems with shadows showing through meshes... solution for this problem has been found ( you can see it HERE ) BUT those steps have to be repeated for every single object separately. My question is can you guys make this as a batch fix? Thats a very tedious method. The best thing would be to get rid of SSAO until they fix it.

Hi oiwa, I recommend removing all custom content from your game and going back to see if the issue persists even when you have no CC/Mods installed. If it does, this is a problem on EA's side and it should be reported to them. If the problem goes away when you remove all CC/Mods, you can try doing the 50/50 method to hunt down the content that is causing the issue. @wj , which EA items are causing the problem? Do you know if this is happening in everyone's game or if (maybe) it's a new graphics card/game settings problem introduced by the patch? it's a game setting related thing. They changed something in their Ambient Occlusion setting that is messing things up from what I noted, As I stated, I will soon post a fix to this xD (very simple really)

inabadromance " in some ccs they are like this. " They did not state it was their cc. And Also, I have the same issue on my own cc (as well as others) And cloning other objects did not solve when I attempted.

Had the same problem. Tried redoing the package but ended up with the same issue. If there's any fix, I'd be interested greatly.
