lukayy I havent created clothes for sims 4 but I did create a few for sims 3 (and sims 1, haha ). A lot of the approach depends on what kind of look you are trying to get and what you want it to look like in game, ie maxis match vs. less cartoony. There is no simple answer for this, but instead, i would recommend finding something simple, and just trying different approaches. Like trying a to make a simple shift dress. When I made clothing, I didn't want it too look too cartoony, but also not too much like a pasted photo. Sometimes, if you can find a straight image of the item you are trying to make, you can blend it into your texture. Instead of pasting a picture of the exact outfit, for example, you can find different pieces like buttons, folds, zippers, and kind of create a collage so it doesn't look like you just pasted the photo. I would also recommend looking up some various tutorials and advice about creating (painting/drawing) fabric folds, wrinkles and things like that, because they can teach you a lot about how to approach fabric and how light falls on fabric, so you can draw your own wrinkles (even if you are not an artist, it is easy to do). And finally, I would recommend, opening other peoples textures and looking at them in a graphics editor. You can learn a lot about how to make sims stuff just by looking at the techniques and ways that they make their stuff.

I took a look and couldn't get them to show up in my game either. I remade them again as non-default eyes and they didn't show up still. I have made a few eyes but am not an expert, but my other eyes show up (but they were made with an earlier version of S4S several months ago). I didn't try creating them as facepaint; although that is a way you could go, if it works. I don't know that the mark will show up as something associated with eyes anyway, but I could be wrong. So hopefully yunanesca has some insight.

I can't see you photos today (although I managed to yesterday??) and I havent meshed clothing, but as far as I know if there is a face, then there shouldn't be a hole in the texture. Although you want to be sure that the vertexes are indeed merged, cause the smallest space will show up as a hole.
Not completely sure on your question either, but if there isn't a face press "f" in edit mode and that should put it on there.
Sorry if this answer is totally off the mark...

So I had some computer issues a while back and had to reinstall my operating system and yea.... I haven't made any cc since then, but now, I have started again. Problem I have is that the thumbnail overlay is showing up in studio, but when I try to test it out in game, it doesn't show the overlay on my new items. It shows it on my old items fine, but none of the ones I have made since the computer snafu. (just to clarify, when I open the file, after being in game, the overlay is still there in studio) Happy to share a file if need be

I guess the first question would be: do they show up in the the studio?
Also, is it the mark that you need want to show up or the eyes, it is kind of unclear. Maybe posting your package would be helpful too.

I peeked at them quickly and my first impression is that it is something with the normal or spectacular. Did you change them? Also seconding Feyona the package will give us a better idea

Welcome Luna and Tenchi!! And Welcome everyone I missed before that Luna - as far as blender, I have had good luck just googling what you want to make. There are a TON of tutorials on youtube; just beware that sometimes their directions leave you will a high poly item, but I've learned a lot that way.

jindann there are people in all different time zones, so if someone doesn't respond to your post right away you might want to give it at least 12 hours. But as far as your problem - it is hard to tell what is going on from your picture and description. Does this occur after you import into S4S and then export the mesh back out? or what? Your best option might be to post the package/blender file.

I agree with Orangemittens that this would probably not be the first item you learn to map on, but if you were going to suggest that "Project from view" for the front and back in front and back ortho would be VERY handy

When I make stuff out of glass, it usually have a small amount of distortion like you have. I assumed that it was just how the game rendered glass. My computer isn't the newest either, and when I did it with small stuff it was much more un-noticeable. It was a lot like your table, but you couldn't really see it so much because of the shape and size. So it might just be that it is much more obvious with your table since, you know it is bigger. (or I could be wrong....)

I have nothing much to add that hasn't already been said, but I will say it anyway. Wow! The castle is so detailed and you can tell you really put a lot of time in it. You have much more focus or concentration than I would ever have to do something like that, I am awestruck. Thank you for the beautiful pictures; I look forward to seeing it develop!

anska yes I did notice that; I am glad I was not the only one. I thought my curtains were strangely buggy or something and then i realized it was strange light.

I haven't gotten this yet either...I've been waiting for Origin to have a sale (like I have done with all of the sims 4 things except for one). They seem to have sales pretty regularly. But tbh, I need to play more of Get Together and Get to Work, I think before I start adding more game dynamics.
