Hi aurora16xd, I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you describe what's happening or not happening that is causing the problem or question?

Hi faintobject, welcome to Studio forums...I'm sorry I missed your post when you first posted it. There should be a folder in your Documents folder labeled Sims 4 Studio. In that folder there is a folder labeled Mods. This is where to put custom content if you want to clone it for recoloring or what have you. Is that what you're trying to do?

Yes however I had to uninstall the previous version and install the new one becuase it did not update automatically. My new S4S folder is now in my sims 4 folder under electronic arts and does not have a mods folder.

Are you trying to clone custom content or use Studio's My CC feature? You do not have to deinstall Studio...the new installation will overwrite the old one. Studio does not have automatic updates yet and I'm not sure when it will.

My custom content does not show up in my studio because there's no mods folder

Hi faintobject, I apologize...it's been a hectic couple of days between the patch and the release of the expansion. Do you have a Sims 4 Studio folder in your Documents folder?

Hi faintobject, I apologize...it's been a hectic couple of days between the patch and the release of the expansion. Do you have a Sims 4 Studio folder in your Documents folder? I think somehow S4S ended up installing inside the Sims4 subdirectory, instead of where it should have gone. C:\Users\Egw\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods C:\Users\Egw\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods First path above is to game/mods, second path shows where S4S/Mods is supposed to be when it installs properly. It sounds like in THIS CASE, uninstalling and reinstalling Sugar may be the best/easiest option to straighten it out. Besides, we've gone from 2.6.0.5 (through .6 and .7) to 2.6.0.8 in a pretty short time, possibly faintobject might need to reupdate anyway?

Studio, left on its own to choose where to install will install in Program Files. The person installing it could select an alternative location but that should not affect its ability to generate the folders it needs after that. When Studio runs it creates a folder in Documents and in that folder it creates a Mods folder where custom content can be placed for cloning. I agree that a Sims 4 Studio folder inside the Electronic Arts/Sims 4 folder will not be found by Studio when it is assembling the thumbnail list...it is looking for the Documents/Sims 4 Studio folder. It might be worthwhile to just try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if this will straighten out the problem.

I have been aggressively scaling down the size of my mods folder by removing swatches with the My CC function, which is just the best thing since sliced bread! Some creators have dealt with large sets by courteously putting the recolors in multiple packages. I thought I might consolidate a set of multiple packages (jonesi bed blankets) for personal use now that I only have a reasonable number of recolors by importing the few random recolor textures in the second and third set to the first one. However, only one swatch shows up in S4S for each set. Is this intentional? I'm concerned about what it means for recoloring. For instance, if there is a swatch for a white recolor, I want to get the textures from that instead of one with an elaborate print.

If you've made your clone as a 3D mesh Studio will only pull one swatch into the .package. If you clone it as a recolor it will pull all swatches. If you clone it as a selective clone you can choose which resources to include and if you put a checkmark in each of the resource boxes you will get a full clone including the meshes and all swatches.
