Hi everybody, I am a fresh-faced newbie trying to get the Sims 4 Studio up and running. Unfortunately, right out of the gate I've run into a serious problem and none of the FAQ-recommended solutions appear to be helping. When I start up the application, I am immediately greeted with a message saying "Unable to find the Sims 4. Please configure your game path." So obviously the default path for the application ("Macintosh HD/Applications/The Sims 4.app") isn't right.
But when I try other paths, I either receive a message saying "An error has occurred. Please report this. " or it seems to work but nothing happens when I click "Extract tuning...". The files that should be in "Documents/Sims 4 Studio" directory also aren't present except for log files (which look normal enough, as you can see in the below screenshot) and one ".sqlite" file.
Thus far, I have tried:
I am currently running macOS Ventura 13.4 on a 13-inch 2019 MacBook Pro with a 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 processor. As mentioned above, I have the Sims 4 Studio Apple Blossom 1.3.4.2. Any help people can provide to me is greatly appreciated, and apologies in advance if it turns out that I missed a blindingly obvious solution.

Thus far, I have tried:
- Double-checking what version of the Sims 4 Studio I have installed (Apple Blossom 1.3.4.2)
- Double-checking that I cleared all the security/privacy preferences with my Mac so that the Sims 4 Studio has all the permissions it needs to function fully
- Exiting the Sims 4 Studio, deleting the "Documents/Sims 4 Studio" directory, then opening the Sims 4 Studio again
- Deleting all files related to and then reinstalling the Sims 4 Studio
- Double-checking Origin (which seems to list the Sims 4 as installed on my end) and ensuring that I am up-to-date on patches for the Sims 4 and Origin
- I checked the files in my Origin-related directories and came up with no "Origin Games" folder or anything like it, nor any way to generate such a folder. Considering that following the instructions here by eveningstorm got me the closest to a resolution out of anything else I tried, I have reason to believe that the correct Sims 4's directory is under "Users/[my real name]/Applications" rather than anything explicitly labeled for Origin.
- Changing the game path to each of the below strings. Strings 1-3, 5, and 6 produce the "an error has occurred" message; strings 4 and 7 initially seem to work but then nothing happens except the generation of a log file when I click "Extract tuning...".
- "Macintosh HD/Applications/The Sims 4.app"
- "Macintosh HD/Users/[my real name]/Applications/The Sims 4.app"
- "Macintosh HD/Users/[my real name]/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents"
- "Macintosh HD/Users/[my real name]/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources"
- "Macintosh HD/Users/[my real name]/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/The Sims 4.app"
- "Macintosh HD/Users/[my real name]/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/The Sims 4.app/Contents"
- "Macintosh HD/Users/[my real name]/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources"
- Leaving the Sims 4 Studio open for >5 minutes to give it a chance to load up everything
- Updating my computer to macOS Ventura 13.4
