So, silly question, but what options do I choose for DDS conversion. I know I need mipmaps and a DXT5 output, but is there anything else? I've already had to convert my textures a lot haha

Bakie told me I had to make sure it was saved as a DXT5 and mipmaps was enabled. Try that. I will as well once I'm home and post a pic.

SimmaFierce, save your image as a .png instead of using .dds. sweetsorrowsims, it is no longer necessary to use .dds. If you save your image as a .png there are no special settings needed as there are if you're using the less user-friendly .dds format. Studio updated to allow the import of .png images specifically to make things easier for creators.

Hi there! I'm trying to edit an EA mesh without using blender (i've succesfully done it before with a top and dress) but I can't seem to get it fixed. The breast part of the original dress is showing, the slightly thicker thing between the breasts (I don't know how to upload a picture into my message xD)

Hi mxfsims, welcome to Studio forums. I wrote a tutorial showing how to post pictures in the forum and it is posted HERE. If you don't have online storage for your pictures yet I posted a tutorial showing how to get and use a free One Drive account from Microsoft HERE. That tutorial shows how to get One Drive links for files and pictures. If you post a picture or a picture and your .package someone can take a look

Hi, I'm trying to recolour the same cc multiple times for lipsticks and upload it to my tumblr (giving credit to the original owners mesh obv) but its just coming up with the one colour in CAS, although I have made twelve separate colours, none of the others but one even are an option to me in CAS in game. This is really frustrating me. Can anyone help me put it together??

Hi scandiforest, welcome to Studio forums. Are you making this as a recolor of custom content or are you duplicating the .package and recoloring the duplicate?

Hi orangemittens. I've been recoloring the Glass Wings by Esmeralda on Mod The Sims. I have the original mesh and I added it with my recolors into the mods folder once I made the recolors I'd like. But when I go into the game, they aren't there?

Hi ivypoison255, welcome to Studio forums. When you made your recolor.package did you clone the original as custom content or did you copy the original and open the copy using My Projects?

Oh.. I don't think I did! Probably because I have no clue how to do that. If there's a thread on how to do that, could you put me in the direction?

This whole tutorial is about it... you have to place the custom content .package you want to clone into the mods folder inside of the studio folder in documents. After that you should be able to find it to clone using the standalone recolor option. There's pictures and a better written explanation in the page 1 of this thread. Keep in mind you will need the mesh package in your Sims 4 mods folder for your recolor to show up.
