I like your username's alternate spelling for Sinister Love Either that or do you mean 'See Ya, New Yorkster Love' We must be in the same time zone then, 'cuz it was between 12 and 1 AM when I last responded, too! LOL! And no, it was actually an alternate of Synyster Gates from A7X since I had the song Hail to the King stuck on repeat in my head back then, although my love and I are both quite sinister at times. As for that screenshot...well, I'll try PM'ing it to ya since I don't use Imgur or anything of the like...

My cc won't show up. does it need to be a specific type of package file? Ditto. I was looking at an old post that hasn't been updated in almost 3 years last night, tonight I can't find it. Anyway, CC does not come up the way your tutorial screenshots show. I can locate the item under the My CC tab, but opening it that way gives me limited options. Ohhhhh…. Disregard. I took another look and finally saw what I had missed- the path where you need to put the item before you can open it. I kept seeing where you say "Mods folder" and I'm like, yes, it's there, it comes up just fine in game. I have S4S in my Documents/EA/Sims 4 folder, I never noticed that it created a new folder under Documents.

It's been months since I first wanted to recolor CC. I never knew how to make it show in my S4S, and I had been reading THIS TUTORIAL several times >:D. Now I find out that there is this sententce tha i never paid attention to before, saying that I don't have any complicated things to do, just put it in a folder... I'm kinda angry at myself for being so stupid... :-/ Anyway, thanks for the tutorial, I can (finally) do cc recolors !!! :D

Question here. I'm working on my first recolor of a custom content item. I'm a bit confused though. I got my recolor to work the package shows up in the game. However if I take out the original package file of the item I recolored, and leave my recolor file in the game I can still see the item. Don't I have to have the original file in game for my recolor to show up? I'm trying to understand how this is just a recolor when it seems like my file includes the original mesh.

Hey there!
I'm using the "Sims 4 Studio 3.1.3.2 (Wishes)" - version and I've got a big problem. But I hope, that it's just a mistake by myself, 'cause I'm working with S4S not so long.
But, let us get in to the problem, here it is:
I want to change a part of a CC Hairstyle for toddlers. But, I never get the chance to do that, because the S4S can't find the files. When I click on "My CC" the program find everything I have or need. Searching also works very well. Everything conecting to "My CC" is working perfect (thank you for that)! But when I choose "Create CAS Standalone" and then click on "CAS" to continue, the S4S can't find any of my CC. Even, when I put the filter "Custom" under Content, I just see a blank space (haha, the title of a song) of nothing.
If in this world, okay let's say in this forum: If in this forum is anybody who can help me, so please, please do that!
Thank you so so much, Lia312

Hey, I've been trying to fix this problem. I use gimp to make my recolour, I export it to .dds with the compression bc3/dxt 5, in s4s it looks fine, in cas it looks fine but the swatch shows just the mesh but like skin textured. in game the mesh is there but now there is a flesh coloured overlay, sometimes when i zoom in really close i can see the recolour peeking through. Both the original and recolor file are in my mods folder. I've done the batch fixes: - Fix male underwear / swimsuit EA recolors missing mesh
- Update Cas CC Pets Patch
- Fix cats & Dogs patch glass hair
- Seasons basic batch fix
I've also changed my graphics settings as well as made sure my s4s was updated and still get the same results. * This is also an issue when I make CC Tattoos.

When you save the file in GIMP make sure that you generate Mipmaps...it fixed that issue in my game.
