Hi! I'm using the mac version on osx10.14.6, i can follow the first couple steps but after i open a part with cas standalone ticked it just takes me to the warehouse, no model viewer. any idea why this happens??

Hi, I did a Standalone Recolor (w/ 31 different textures) of Serinion's Portable Bucket at MTS. (My recolors modthesims.info/d/645967/31-recolors-of-serinion-s-portable-bucket-for-ablution.html). I did it before seeing this tutorial, so I did open the file from the projects shortcut to make additional changes. I saw that for recoloring it said you had to open it differently to avoid overwriting "the original". Does that mean the original mesh from which the object was cloned/created or does it overwrite the original new recolor being made?
Serinion said it looks like the mesh was included in my package (which I did not intend) but I have no idea how to tell and at least one user said my recolors would not work (showed up but gave footprint error & couldn't be placed) until the user installed Serinion's original file.
1. How do I tell if the mesh was included? 2. If Serinion updated the object I recolored & gave it the same filename as the original & I put that .package in my Mods folder, would my recolor automatically reflect those changes or would I have to make the recolors all over again? I just tested & it did not update to the new object's stats but I don't know if it's drawing from the mesh or not. Looks like I will have to recolor the new file (but how do I make it so it will always reference the updates to the original file by Serinion)? 3. If it did include the mesh, how do I fix that so it will draw on the updated mesh instead of the original/cloned one? 4. When doing standalone recolors of a CC buy mode object, do I need to do anything special other than importing textures & updating swatches and thumbnails to make it work properly?
I found that when I tried to do recolors of Teknikah's Sprinkler bucket (which used the original bucket that Serinion modified), it overwrote the colors on Teknikah's object. It was drawing from an EA mesh. Not sure what I was doing wrong there to cause that so I just sent my files to Teknikah to update the recolors in his/her thread.
I apologize if this has been broached before, but my eyes started blurring over trying to go through every page of the thread.

Is it still true that CAS Standalone does not include the mesh when you recolor CC? I keep trying to produce a recolor that will only work if the mesh is also present, and I keep putting new file created into a game that has never had the mesh in it before, and it keeps working anyway.
Turned out to be a different issue which I have brought up elsewhere.

If you are having problems seeing the CAPTCHA, please clear your browser's cache and cookies and ensure that you do not have any browser addons or extensions that interfere with the display of the CAPTCHA. Then, close the CAPTCHA window and click on the register button to open the CAPTCHA again.
