Hi sweetsorrowsims probably the easiest way will be to treat it like a default blender export from Sims4Studio and replace the few frames I have in the blender file with your own frames of poses or animation. I'm traveling away from home but when I get back I'll upload the file.

Sure sweetsorrowsims . Just post mentioning me fufu508 if you have any problems with it. I have uploaded a version with flatter lower abs to better match what shows up in game. The easiest way I have found to make use of this updated (and my previous) version of the mesh is to: (you may already know these steps but for others not yet familiar with this technique, I'll include these details) - open a blender file that has the desired animation in it (if not starting from scratch),
- open the dope sheet view and use the "a" key to select all the keyframes.
- use the keyframes menu on the dope sheet view to copy all the keyframes to the clipboard.
- open (in the same Blender window, not a new one) a copy of the blend file at the link above.
It's important to open in the same blender window since you need what's on the clipboard.
- in the newly opened blend file, select all bones using the “a” key while in the 3d viewport (they should already be selected, but just to be sure).
- open the dope sheet view and use the keyframes menu to paste from the clipboard.
- save the resulting file as a new one and continue modifying the file, e.g. from the 3d viewport change the end frame to match the length of your imported animation.
EDIT: 2015 Dec 13 -- The blender file I uploaded earlier had a problem with the bottom portion not moving with the rest of the rig. Please use the updated link (corrected above also) to download sandy_check_clearances03.blend (see link below)". EDIT(again!): 2015 Dec 19 -- To simplify using the blender file described above, I have made it one frame long, with a keyframe at frame 0. All bones are selected, so when you paste keyframes in step 6 above, it should paste your entire animation, with no interference from the test keyframes I had in the previous file. I also modified (and hopefully clarified) the steps above. Please use this latest link (corrected above also) to download " sandy_mesh_1f_0kf_02.blend".

First things first: thanks so much for this turtotial! I actually made a pose that I use in my game with this. Awesome! Never thought I could do that. I have a question though, hope someone can help me out. I want to make another pose but I find it difficult to edit the body in such way it looks natural. I always mess that up. Now I noticed that one of the ea animations has the perfect stand to edit from further to make it a bit easier for me to get the hang of it. How do I copy that single stand out of an animation? Can I do that? So that it is a stand still pose instead of a playable animation? It would really help me out. Thanks in advance!

Hi imagimary, welcome to Studio forums. The first post in this thread contains instructions for how to copy a frame from one pose onto a frame in another pose. Just keep scrolling down and you'll find the section

I am sure someone else can help you out better than I can, but from my understanding you would go to the desired timeframe/keyframe click A twice so that the black dots(Rigs)are all highlighted Blue and then there will be a button on your bottom right hand side below the pose (in that little strip) that looks like a folder with an arrow pointing at it. (CRTL+C) that Copies your pose and then in the same blender window open your pose you are working on and click timeframe 0. Beside that Copy Folder Button you clicked should be another Button with a folder but instead it has an arrow pointing away from it that is your Paste (CRTL+V) Click that and you should be set. Don;t forget to locrot it As for getting the starting pose you want I am not to sure how to do that, I have an idea but will let someone else direct you properly. Sorry if this makes no sense I suck at explaining things...seriously. I try haha. Hope I helped a little. imagimary

I found the section you're referring to orangemittens, I'm gonna give it a go. A bit dumb I didn't saw that earlier, but thank you! Sweetsorrowsims: when I read it like that it doesn't make sense at all, but that's not due to your explaining skills: I'm a total n00b when it comes to blender, haha! I'm gonna open the animation now and see if it makes sense when I look at blender proparly Thanks both, for the quick answers ^^

Hello OM. I have a problem. I already finish my .blend pose and import to sims 4 studio, but it doesn't work for game. I mean when I play the game, I can find my pose name in poseplayer's menu, but the pose that sims shows is not my .blend pose, the pose is the initial pose that which is exported from sims 4 studio. The following is my .blend pose: The following is the pose that sims shows in game: P.S. Sorry for my poor English.

ponponyaya I had the same problem with my first pose, and in my case it was because I didn't locrot and save the pose. Did you do that? Also, make sure that you import it correctly. I once missclicked and didn't import the pose xD that time my sim ended up like that too. I was flabbergasted until I found out what I did, then I laughed very hard at myself. So, go back to your pose, locrot and save it (rename it so you know you have the right one when you import it, that's what I do to make it easier), go back to Sims 4 Studio and import it again, then test it. Succes! fufu508 Awh, thank you! That's so sweet of you to say ^^ sweetsorrowsims It makes a LOT more sense to me now! :D

Hi ponponyaya, to add to imagimary's suggestions, you can also try exporting the .blend file from your package and open it in Blender. It should look like the original animation. Also, are both keyframes in your Blender screen shot identical? If it still doesn't work for you, please upload your .blend file and we can help you out.
