You didn’t locrot the position after dragging the rig down. It doesn't work. I realised that no matter where I drag the rig in blender and locrot it, the sim always hovers in the air the same distance from the floor, which is weird as it worked out totally fine with a different sitting pose I made. Note: this only works with the rigs exported directly from Studio. Not Kijiko or other rig helpers, you can't lift them using root bind bone. If you use any of IK rigs refer to their tutorials for help.

I noticed that the b_root_bind joint isn't inside the rig like it usually is but somewhere below the feet. Could this be the Problem and do you know how to fix it? Or is it easier to just redo the pose?

Hi! I'm trying to learn how to make animations. Can anyone direct me to where I can learn to animate around objects?

^ As long as the object is meant to stand still, you just have to extract it from the game, import it to Blender (don't move it!), and then animate your sim around the object. There isn't a lot more hocus pocus than that.
This works best with objects that don't move ingame. Chairs and barstools can work as long as they're not interacting with a table (they slot closer to the table, which means they move, so the animation may have to be moved a bit ingame to fit in).

Hey! I may be missing something basic, and for that I apologize, but where do I search for the trait poses? When I search "trait" nothing comes up.

When I downloaded the new Sins 4 Studio and Blender, it says I need Blender 2.70. So I search for it and download it from their site, and it comes already in a little folder and all ready to go, but when I try to start making my pack. I get to the part where I need to export the rig I always get a message saying I need to download the new blender pops up. What is going on? Is there a site where I can download all the rids I need i.e, Adults (male and female, Kids, Pets, Toddlers, Mermaids, and Mermen?
I'm using the latest version of Apple Blossom 1.3.1.5

All files are extracted from the game files.

I clicked the older blender files or else it will just download the newest one which doesn't work with Sims 4 Studio. Both downloaded in folders ready to go with no installation needed. Nothing shows up to link a path to either blenders.

I don't use mac, so I don't know how exactly do you need to connect S4S and blender, but you can search on the forum. It's been discussed too many times.

Hi! What about extracting a current custom pose inside a .package file to Blender?. I was searching a lot in the web and I didnt find any reasonable guide to do that. Perhaps is impossible... I would like to see and play with existing custom animation to continue learning about making poses and animations in the game. Thanks!!!!!!

Hi, I'm just now learning how to make poses and I was wondering what version of blender is good to use with Sims 4 Studio? 2.79 I think is the most recent version that can be used along with Sims 4 Studio. I use it, for making poses and animation.
Soon I will release a mega pack of animation that I use in a current machinima project. So 2.79.

I would like to see and play with existing custom animation to continue learning about making poses and animations in the game. Thanks!!!!!! That's easy. Use sims4studio. Open the .package file by Clicking My Project button and search for the file. On Clip Tab, find the clip you want. Click export. Viola, you get the blender file.

I'm having trouble importing my pose from blender to s4s. I get this error message: Please make sure you have set a key frame on the rig in your .blend file
How do I do that? I'm lost.
It's a group pose made in blender 2.79

I'm having trouble importing my pose from blender to s4s. I get this error message: Please make sure you have set a key frame on the rig in your .blend file How do I do that? I'm lost. It's a group pose made in blender 2.79 Have you locrot-ed your poses by pressing CTRL+I? It's to insert keyframe of the selected bones. To keyframe all the bones in one rig, select the rig, press A (your cursor have to be on the 3d view in pose mode), then CTRL+I, choose locrot.
Do that to each rig.
locrot means location rotation. You insert keyframe for the location and rotation of the bones.
And then save each rig to seperate files. Inside each file, there's should be only one rig.
