Which button are you clicking to export this? Export what? I haven't exported anything. I viewed the anim from Blender. :-/

Which button are you using to export a clip from Studio?

Um, I clicked Export. Is this a trick question? :p Is there some other way? The anims play in Blender...

No, it's not a trick question. This tutorial instructs to click the Create New button and if you do that you will get an empty clip with the number of frames the original has. If instead you click the Export button you get the fully keyframed EA clip. This explains why you aren't getting smooth transitions.
Blender will play the animation frame by frame and will create transitions between each keyed frame. That is, the transition occurs on unkeyed frames. The EA clips come out with a keyframe set on each frame so there is nowhere for Blender to put any transitions...every frame is already taken up. It has no way of knowing you want some of the keyframes to be utilized and others ignored. When you change one of the keyframes it will play that one but it will also play the EA ones on either side. This is what is causing the jerky appearance you posted about above.

Oh...this is bad. I can't alter an existing animation? Gotta make one from scratch? No butt-slap then. Change of plans.
So if I wanted to make a sim dance, I would need to create like 80 frames from scratch? It's a dance, so leaving anything to transition would be disastrous. Feeling a bit hesitant to start this project now...
I purposely chose an animation that was already made because it had almost everything I wanted already done. I actually created a new blank one first, by accident, and started trying to animate that, but I noticed it had no already-made animations, so I went back and chose Export instead.

Well you can alter an existing EA animation but if you do then you have to deal with the fact that every frame has a keyframe set on it. You can also copy/paste desired portions of an existing animation into your own new one. I'm not sure why you say leaving anything to transition would be disastrous. Having Blender fill in gaps is not a bad way to go as long as you give it enough cues to fill the unkeyed frames how you want them filled in.

I discussed this topic briefly in this thread {url]http://www.sims4studio.com/thread/728/poses-position[/url] I haven't had a chance to write a tutorial going over it but that should get you started in the right direction

Hi candylo, this tutorial is probably the best place to start working on Sims 4 poses. It was written for people who have never made a Sims 4 pose before. If you give it a try and run into questions please post again

thanks orangemittens but it doesn't work. I try it. They make the pose but not together. <img style="max-width:100%;" alt="" src=" "> I despair I want they stand side by side. they stay face to face in blender.

It does work as the picture I posted demonstrates ^^. If your Sims are not showing up in the right place you need to position them using the method I discussed.

I have the position x times changed . Front , rear , right, left but in the game it is always in the same place . I 've done everything what you've written . But I do not understand it . I have changed the position of Object Mode . Yet they are at the same location . Do not go closer or further away . Do not go backwards not forwards . Did I forget something ? They make the pose . But in the wrong place .

When I get the chance I will write a tutorial showing how to do this. Studio will also add in couples pose options to make the process more streamlined as well.
