You need to export the texture from s4s in to photoshop or gimp or whatever it is you uses and edit the material where you cut the mesh off.

Check in the UVs, you probable selected the uv_1 and is showing the texture refering to that map. To fix it select uv_0 again.

Hi I shortened a long dress to a short one and everything looks good an works good. But I can't get the LOD1, LOD2, and LOD3 to look right. So when applying boots on in game they are dislocated I guess you would say. The LOD_0 Is fine. So I'm wondering if there is any way to fix this? Here is a pic. I have tried with failure, (In Blender) changing the modifiers. Deleting the double vertices, Changing the cut number, scaling, pulling, and tugging. Nothing I do seems to help. Will I need to go back and pull each LOD and create a dress for it?

I'm going to try the legs on the Nude Bottom and see it that will work. I will be back to let you know if it works!

I'm trying to shorten tops that only have one s4studio mesh available to edit. However, for some of these tops, body parts are linked in the same mesh. (i.e a top will have vertices for the arms, neck, torso connected in one mesh) Because of this, when I try to shorten it part of the sim's body is deleted (as you can see in this screenshot) I closed the bottom just like you did with this skirt, and it didn't fix the problem. Is there another tutorial around here somewhere that talks about this, and I just missed it?

Hi! So- I'm a new content creator and I tried searching through this thread to see if anyone else had this issue, but after I got the skirt shortening down I started trying to shorten tops- which worked very, very well- with the exception of until I used the item in my game. I cut down one of the default flannels and it looked fine in the studio. I edited the masking and textures meticulously but in game I can still see the outline of buttons and certain folds?
Maybe Im just missing a simple step here- and I've had this happen with a few shirts so far still- specifically those with buttons and or decals on the texture. If anyone has a simple answer- that'd be great! >v> Thanks!

I have a quick question I cannot find the answer to anyway, Working with LOD0 and Appending an existing LOD0 mesh is fine, in the end I get the result I want, but there is also LOD1, LOD2, and LOD3, selecting those with Sims4Studio shows me the old mesh, so do I have to repeat the process on all LODs, like next time, Export a Nude LOD1 Mesh then the Original LOD1 Mesh, Edit them, then append, etc, and until I do all the 3 remaining LODS?

Hey MisterS, thanks for making this guide. I'm new to blender but this tutorial has been easy to follow so far, however I'm currently having an issue when it comes to selecting the bottom edge of the skirt. I've been following these instructions: "You are looking for the Extrude Region Tab, use that and the "S" key (scale) tool to close the edges most of they way." "1. Click on Extrude Region" "2. Leave the mouse pointer on the Extrude Region tab and press "S" on your keyboard" "3. Drag your mouse down and around until these edges close most of the way" I have the Edge Selection tool selected and the backfaces deselected. When I click Extrude Region and press "S," nothing seems to happen. When I drag my mouse around the bottom edge of the skirt, the yellow line does not appear as it does in your guide. If I could get any help here I would greatly appreciate it. Here's a screencap if it helps: Apologies if this issue has been posted before, I had a quick skim through this thread and didn't find anything.

Hello MisterS. I really hope this doesn't irritate you, I tried figuring this out on my own, but I'm constantly hitting a wall. I have followed your tutorial and for some reason, when I load up the mesh onto S4S, the leggings are STILL there even though they were successfully removed in blender and saved. I keep going back to your tutorial to see if I'm skipping something, and I don't believe I have... I have been at this for hours, so I don't know if I'm just really stupid, or if blender or even S4S is acting up on me. Hopefully, you have an idea of what I can do! Thanks in advance. Ps. I did skim the older posts to see if my question could be answered, but I kinda did it while I was preparing dinner for my children, so please forgive me if this was already discussed!
