No worries, it's fine. Anyway, I'm pretty sure those lines are harmless. I get them too and it's due to having an Nvidia graphics card (I believe). Check your dress in game to see if they show up, because they probably won't.

kengdien , you need to click the UV button. Also you need to rename UVMap to uv_0 and UVMap.001 to uv_1.

Why does the back of my mesh not appear once I've imported it from Marvelous designer. I thought it may have been the backface culling option. But once I tried that, the problem continued. Could I get some help? Thanks!

dacari2002, go into edit mode (tab), then hover over the invisible cloth, and press L. With it selected, go to the shading/UV menu on the left and flip the normals. Hopefully that should fix it.

So, I tried to follow this, very beginner-friendly tutorial, and I managed to get a somewhat okay looking mesh. The thing is that upon placing the cc in the game, the mesh messes up. Is it the mesh itself, or messing up one of the blender steps? Any clue on how to fix it? In Blender (2.76): In S4S (3.1.2.4 Wishes): In Game: If the images don't work, heres the link to the imgur album: imgur.com/a/iEyt9bp

Can someone explain what the difference is between weld and unweld in Marvelous Designer? I've been googling and have yet to see an answer that explains it--lots of technical mumbo jumbo out there related to importing and MD mesh into Zbrush but nothing that explains things in laymen's terms.

I think it just means the patterns vertices are welded/connected/merged at the seams instead of being separated? Not 100% sure though.

For the record, in case anyone is having trouble with the data transfer modifier doing absolutely nothing (making no change) the reason is that you must press the UVs button. It does say to do this in the tutorial here, but it's easy to overlook. I certainly overlooked it.

Just wanted to add another tip. I'm using Blender 2.78, but I had to use 2.70 to transfer the weights. Fine and dandy. No problems. But, I don't have the Sims4Studio tools in 2.70 (no clue why) so I saved my work and opened the save file in 2.78. My mesh was no longer smooth, and using the smoothing options did nothing. Turns out, I had to turn off "auto smooth" in order to get my mesh smooth again.
